Good Morning Daisy and Menu Family!

Hot and muggy here, too. I will take Blossom for a walk early before it gets unbearable outside.

Accountability: Yesterday I was craving cinnamon and my daughter went to Taco Johns so I had her buy me a churro and yes, I ate it. Besides that I didn't do too badly. Totals: Protein - 55, Calories 1,097, Carbs - 97.

Today:

B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks

L: lettuce, chicken, 1/2 avocado, low cal dressing

Exercise: Walking Blossom around the subdivision.

Have a GREAT day everyone!

I forgot the QOTD: I wear socks with tennis shoes, but like to wear my birkenstocks or go barefoot in the summer. I still wear my tennis shoes when I walk the dog, though and for that I need socks.

So.Sick.of.Rain!!

Yet another thunderstorm this morning. I usually love them, but this is getting REALLY old. Plus the mosquitoes have been horrendous lately - they're in my house now - and my garage is full of them!!

back down in the 130s this morning. Not sure why, but YAY!! The only things unplanned yesterday were 2 T of hummus + six baby carrots in the afternoon, plus an entire box (believe it or not) of SF Ice Breakers last night to keep myself from eating everything in sight. BUT...I still came in within my calorie budget.

QOTD: I usually don't mind socks, but in the summer I love wearing sandals or my Ecco Mary Jane's with capris. But with this stupid ankle brace I have to wear this summer, that's not possible. I have to wear socks that come up almost to my knee to avoid friction from the brace, which also means long pants all summer. Ugh. By the time I can quit wearing it, it'll probably be "long pants weather" again. Boo!

finally going to the Low Carb Cafe tonight!! (by boat if this rain keeps up - sheesh!). A friend (and perpetual dieter) is meeting me there. So excited! Here's the menu:

2 years 1 month out (maintenance):

B: plain Greek yogurt, strawberry/rhubarb/hazelnut salad

S: coffee with half & half, mango/vanilla/fresh mint protein/Miralax shake

L: 1 C cottage cheese, nectarine

D: something safe from the low carb cafe

another yogurt or SF protein pudding pop if I can afford the calories

SF Ice Breakers last night to keep myself from eating everything in sight.

haha! I'm actually chomping on a couple of these right now trying to bide my time until lunch. Breaking the grazing habit I've let set in is going to be rough.

you'd think with all the low carbers around that there'd be places like this all over. Hmmm....might be a good business opportunity for someone!

Good Morning everyone. Daisy, sorry you had an issue with the chicken-I like you, just need to be left alone in situations like that. Still HOT here and doesn't seem like that will change anytime soon. Air quality is also bad because there are several fires in parts of CA and since we are "the valley" the bad air just kinda gets stuck here.

Accountability: I need to stop grazing at night! I had a protein bar and handful of peanut butter filled pretzels last night before bed.

QOTD: I prefer slippers as opposed to socks during lounge time as I don't like to be barefoot. It seems if I am just wearing socks I step in water somewhere in the house (dog or ca****er dish or melted ice cube--something!) and that feels so gross.

Time since surgery: 2 years, 11 months

B: SF latte, eggbeaters with roasted red pepper, ½ an orange and 2 turkey sausage links

L: Albacore tuna lettuce wraps and baby carrots

S: SF latte, homemade Greek yogurt with strawberries and ¼ cup bran cereal, 2 Brazil nuts and Buddig corned beef pack

D: Egg salad (1 boiled egg mixed with 1/4c low fat cottage cheese and bacon crumbles) inside ½ a low carb pita pocket, small green salad with Panera's poppy seed dressing and SF Jello

E: 45 mins stationary stepper this morning and 40 mins of elliptical at lunch

V/W: On track

Totals: Cals:1130 Protein:119 Carbs:92 Fat:35

Have a great one!

Good morning menu peeps!

Still spending too much energy over here stressing over my hubs in Austin, in and out of the hospital (he's OK, really, just a very complicated surgery two weeks ago, and small secondary infections brought him back there to get IV antibiotics, he's out now and has another week in Austin. I'm glad he's close to the doctor and all the wonderful nurses at the hospital!).

And this JOB .... I'm working on an angle at my Real Estate office to get over there full time... please send me prayers and swing a few chickens that this can work out for me... I REALLY need it!!!

Accountability: I did great yesterday! I did have a cheese stick and a handful of pork rinds when I got home, but I was truly hungry and slightly shaky, so I needed it. I'm good with that. And no latte love last night!

QOTD: Socks... winter-wear. I'm with you, Daisy... I get home and the shoes come off with the work clothes, and the only time I MIGHT put on a pair of socks is A. to work out, and B. if we are going somewhere to do something that requires tennis shoes... otherwise, I'm barefoot or in my trusty flip flops! My feet are my thermometer, and if I'm hot, even taking off my flip flops helps! LOL

Weight this morning... 138.8

B: Stopped at Starbucks for a decaf skinny vanilla latte... a Venti (6.88 for a freaking cup of coffee OMG)

B2: shredded beef 3.5 ounces

L: 3.5 ounces of shrimp scampi I made the other night

S: cheese stick

D: cheese stuffed meatballs and cottage cheese (3.5 ounces of meatballs and 1 ounce of cottage cheese)

S: Maybe my latte? I've been slacking on that lately

Be true to yourself, everyone! This is a lifetime road we are on, the only person you are hurting when you cheat is yourself... don't make excuses, make good choices!
