hey all. nothing going on here really. I cleaned out the chicken pen last night. i made these cute little piles of poo and turned my back for one second and the little girl hens were playing in the piles!! what a bunch of goofballs. Needless to say I didn't end up getting everything out so have to have a round two. My sunflower seed sprouts are coming up for them and that should be fun. I'm sprouting the sunflower seeds and probably barley next to offset food costs, plus it is kind of cool.

Made up a batch of fairlife yogurt in IP and doctored it all up: tzaiki fir my food, chocolate cheesecake, vanilla, apple cinnamon, pumpkin spice, and I think that is all. Will cook up some tomatoes and carrots and zuchinni tonight and have that ready.

For dinner last night I had the soup concoction from the other day which involved green beans squash, radish and pureed shredded pork and kay's naturals chips ground down to nothing. really tired of these puree foods but haven't gotten an appointment with specialist yet and don't want to end up back in ER so onward I go.

QOTD: I usually only wear socks when I'm wearing dress pants or tennis shoes or my feet are cold, which can be often. I bought some merino wool ones last year and they have been amazing to have since I stay cold. I also wear flannel pants, fleece tops year round. I actually have 1 drawer for 'day pj's' and 'sleeping pj's since I can't sleep in flannel pants (too twisty and big)

Food for today

yogurt

PP RTD popcicles

maybe try prot bar?

Accountability: I did eat 1 square of dark chocolate, yogurt last night (chocolate). was going to eat something else but dh said, you dont need to be sick or i will take you to the crappy hospital (its a joke - we live in a small town where there is a crappy hospital so we threaten to send people there when they are ill). maintenance food.

Hi all!

Yesterday was a much better day than my Monday - and I believe we have my son's IEP/Transpo stuff figured out and we shouldn't have to change his schedule or reschedule our vacations which makes me VERY happy! We ran around a bunch yesterday morning - OT appointment and then haircuts for us both. I gave up on growing my hair out and got it cut short again. It's going to be short forever - I can't deal with how hot and frizzy it gets living down here in the humidity. Probably good that I did it now anyways since I expect it will thin some as I get into the 3-6mos period post surgery. Today I am having some breakfast, taking a bunch of sculptures to the shipper to head off to their new homes, and then my son and I are going swimming because it's a heat advisory here and they expect the index to be around 102-105degrees this afternoon so we want to get back in and into the AC!

Accountability: Great - but I think I didn't eat enough yesterday morning which attributed to my feeling pretty pooped partway through the day. I felt better once I had some turkey and cheese. Because we were on the move I had brought some string cheese with me and ate that but I think I needed more...so today I'll be sure to bring something more substantial as a snack.

QOTD: I am barefoot pretty much all the time unless my feet are cold - which I then usually just tuck them under a blanket. During the winter I am definitely in socks and/or slippers....but during the summer it's bare feet constantly. I suppose I do wear them when working out - but not while weightlifting. I wear 'toe shoes' - vibrams....which are the closest thing I can get to working out in your bare feet. I do this because the closer the contact you have to the floor the more your core is forced to engage and you don't have shoe cushioning compensating.

Menu:

B: Scrambled Egg w/cottage cheese mixed in & slice of avocado

S: Protein Drink

L: Turkey w/babybel mozzarella

S: Protein Drink

D: TBD

E: Pool time!

L: Water water water - I'm so glad I still like ice-water the best, it's super helpful that it's my go-to liquid!

Have a great day guys!

I was looking forward to your answer of QOTD, thinking you might explain- One blue sock.

I always laugh at your tagline I would be unstoppable except for Law enforcement and physics LOL

My favorite camp song when I was a kid was called "Blue Socks, They Never Get Dirty". I think of that every time I read her username ;)

Hahaha - the name actually comes from my son, when he was a toddler he was the master of pulling off his socks and losing one of them. One day I needed a username for something and he was running around with just one blue sock on, and onebluesock was born

Good morning :)

Today I have a call with my advisor. We are meeting weekly to work on projects and discuss progress. I like this because it keeps me accountable and I get more done. We have a conference in August that we are presenting at so right now we are focused on that.

Tonight I'm supposed to go to soccer but the weather is calling for thunderstorms. I like playing I just hate the drive to get there each week, so I'm kind of hoping it will be cancelled.

Accountability: there is none on your birthday ;) just kidding. I didn't eat anything I hadn't planned. I brought more than half my dinner home last night. I had some of the table bread and a homemade chocolate when I got home.

QOTD: I love having bare feet except I hate my feet feeling dirty (am I weird??). And I find that hard floors and dogs means the floors always feel dirty no matter how much I vacuum. So I wear socks. Even in the summer. I wear sandals a lot so I'm semi-sockless. I love going to the cottage because we have carpets up there. No socks.

Breakfast - protein shake

Snack - egg, pickles

Lunch - leftover steak

Snack - Greek yogurt

Dinner - tbd... Maybe chicken??

Snack - protein shake

All water and vits.
