What's on your menu today (Wednesday) RNYers?
Good morning - and so glad it's a short week . Next week will be short as well since I'm off Friday to get ready for our week long camping trip.
Assountability: So-so. No gain at least. My splurges were a slice of watermelon and a cup of cherries (not at the same time), so not too bad.
QOTD: That's so funny since it's been SO MANY years ago, but yes, I remember the whole number. We had a black wall phone - rotary dial and it was a party line. Anyone remember those? I married my high-school sweetheart and when we were dating we would talk on the phone and intentionally give the others on the line something juicy to listen to. You could tell when someone else picked up the line even if they didn't say anything.
B: Protein Coffee
L: 2 red beet eggs, cup of cherries
S: 1/2 C Greek LnF yogurt, 1T PB2, 1/2 scoop protein powder
D: Steak... Yummm

Good morning all!
Yesterday was a lot of fun, it started out that we had no plans other than to just hang out at home. Instead, we ended up having a small impromptu gathering of friends and their kids - hot dogs were grilled, watermelon cut up, brownies were made, Cheetos were consumed....and I didn't have a single bite. I stayed 100% on plan. I had a chocolate-mint protein shake while everyone else munched and I still had a great time. It really impressed upon me what a different headspace I'm in now vs. when I had my band put in....it's like night and day. Today is my 2week post-op group/RD appointment, hopefully I'll be moved to whatever the next stage is!
Accountability: Rocked it like a champ yesterday - ended up with 128g of protein, 657 calories, and 76oz of water (jus****er, didn't count other liquids)
QOTD: I still remember my childhood number, as well as my best friend's number - my childhood number is easy to remember because my parents still have it. As a teenager I got to do my phone calls on an old beige rotary phone, talk about ancient. I thought it was a fancy miracle when my parents finally upgraded to a cordless phone with touch tones!
Menu:
Nothing fancy yet - syntrax protein drinks most of today because I can make them and put them in my cooler for my appointments. I'll probably throw some beef broth in there somewhere because I have some left from the last batch of soup my MIL made for me.
E: Heading to the Y after my appointments hopefully
V: Multivitamins - check! One more week and the calcium gets added in
Have a great day guys!

Hi all
I'm back finally from the hospital debacle. I still don't have an answer as to WHAT is wrong but I'm back on liquids as real food causes me to be in horrible stomach and kidney pain to the point where I have to go to the ER. Supposed to get this test called MRCP or ERCP where they go in and see what my liver and intestines are doing. Until then I'm not taking the chance by eating solids, do not want to go back to ER for the 3rd time!!
QOTD: Our phone number was 436-4379 it was easy to remember. We had a phone in the kitchen with a really long cord and I could go into the living and talk to my friends. For my 14th birthday though I got a black and red phone in my room so I could talk in private. Our neighbors had a rotary phone on the wall with a HUGE cord.
Food: liquids and more liquids.
Sending DH to store for me today. Need premier protein, fairlife milk, and some other liquids. will probably try cottage cheese later and some more yogurt.

I'm sorry you are still fighting this pain stuff. I hope they get answers soon.
I hate the way it feels when I know something is wrong but the doctors aren't finding it. In my family being 'sick' without actually having a visible wound, preferably with a limb dangling by a thread or some such, was considered failure and weakness. I have a whole bunch of unhealthy baggage around feeling like I am screwing up if I go see a doctor. I have worked through most of it but when/if I am in pain or there is something wrong but the doctors can't find it...uhg I hate that feeling. I am always so relieved if the doctors comes back with tests and says, "You have blah blah blah..." It feels validating somehow.
Maybe that is just me but I hope you get answers either way.

Good morning! It is a beautiful day in Massachusetts too, but I'm in the office today .
Accountabilty: 85% on plan...
QOTD: I do remember it because my mother remained in that house for a long time. I certainly wouldn't now because of the pre-programming in our cellphones, but dialing it on a regular basis burned it in my brain (655-2298).
15 months post-op, maintenance:
