Home made beef jerky
this is the seasoning I use. You can get it at Academy Sports as well usually. They make a few different flavors. I hope the image inserted correctly. And I use eye of round sliced about 1/4" thick for mine. I'll let you have the kale and zucchini...I'll stick with the beef... HAHA
Ok so I don't know how to insert an image here I guess. I will try to PM it to you. Its called Backwoods.
Ya gotta have more cowbell!!
Thank you; it's very tasty. I used top sirloin but have since discovered the best cut is top or bottom round, according to a lot of various forums, etc. I think it would work ok with any lean meat.
The taste will depend on your marinade. I used two different kinds and am looking forward to trying a Korean BBQ flavor next time. I've read that some places sell beef jerky spices and cures but I couldn't find any around here.

Thanks, Kathy for the info. Yes, the leaner meats would be much better. The Korean BBQ sounds great. It would be fun experimenting with fruit like you are doing. Hoping to get a better dehydrator eventually. Mine is ancient and not very effective. Have a great night.

I make jerky about once a week. Here's my recipe, if you like it spicy!
