Good morning menu folks! Daisy, it sounds like you're going to have a challenge not eating the carbs, but I know you can do it.
Yesterday, I had appointments with my surgeon and my primary care NP. All the results are good except that my iron numbers are low even with my supplements and my HDL cholestrol is low because my total cholestrol is so low. They aren't going to treat the low iron at this point but I will keep taking my iron supplements and test again in a few months.
The best news is that my A1C for my diabetes has dropped from a 9.5 in January to a 5.9 in June. An amazing change. I should be off the last of my Metformin within the next month or two, which is excellent news!
My official loss since surgery is 56 pounds although I've lost more since my initial visit on February 2. I am very pleased.
With all of the appointments yesterday, I didn't get in a long walk so I treated myself to some pool time after work. It was really relaxing and I got in some good laps. Today is cooler so I plan to put in about 3 miles of walking over lunch.
Breakfast: hard boiled egg, turkey sausage patty
Snack: Ice Tea protein shake
Lunch: TJ's Vera Cruz swai
Snack: turkey breast
Dinner: TJ's chili lime chicken burger
Exercise: long walk, deep water aerobics
