Thanks - morning is easy for me (I used to skip breakfast sometimes). But the last hour before bed is the most dangerous. And wine doesn't help! I have been weighing every morning while here so that sort of works to stop overreating (knowing I will see the results sooner rather than later).

Good morning menu friends -

I did not do so good yesterday. I think I jinxed myself when I said I rarely go off my planned menu. I usually don't, and I have two days in a row now. I got up and went to a sale yesterday with my aunt (I should have been sleeping - would have saved money and calories / carbs). Anyway I have been craving ice cream for weeks, I have even looked at the stats on different ice cream single bars but they were all over 30 carbs so I wouldn't buy them (I know I can not bring a container of ice cream into my house and just eat a little bit) . Well yesterday I stopped at a dollar store to buy a Father's day card and they had 3.6 ounce containers of ice cream in a freezer right by the cash register. The chocolate ice cream was 230 cals and 20 carbs, and you guessed it I bought it and ate it on the way home. It was very good, but then I was mad at myself most of the day. Because of the ice cream I chose to take the pork rinds off of my menu. I also ended up not eating the salmon burger later in the evening - was just not hungry.

So these are my stats Planned / Actual :

Calories - 681 / 741 Protein - 107 / 86 Carbs - 15 /35

Today's Menu:

B - 4 oz. Shrimp w/ home made ****tail sauce

L- 3 oz. Salmon burger, 1 cup spinach, 8 grape tomatoes

D - 3.5 oz. Pork Loin, green beans

S - ranch tuna pouch, baby bel cheese round,

S2 - 2.3 oz. smoked salmon

Calories - 630, Protein - 100, Carbs - 15

I will stick to the plan today!!!

The Nuts where I had my surgery have a great motto: "Anyone can have a bad (eating) day, but no one can have a bad week." I remind myself of that and use it to help get myself back on track.

Thanks. I have stuck to plan today!!! I knew I was going to keep craving the ice cream until I finally ate some. I am happy that I found a very small container and didn't go way off the rails from my original plan.

Raining this morning so no walk yet for Lily and I. If we have time and no rain we'll do it this evening or I'll hit the treadmill (yuck!). Busy day with food pantry this am and then a trip to Springfield (an 11/2 hours drive) to pick up an order for the food pantry. At some point I'll get in some exercise even if it's late this evening. Post op 4 years 9.5 months and weight at 117.6 today. Stayed totally on plan and decaf again helped me avoid the snacking urge other than as planned. Food for maintenance today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz grilled chicken 1/2 c lettuce D 1/2 c taco meat with 1/2 c lettuce with salsa and sour cream S P3 Pak. Have a great day everyone and make some smart choices that move you one step closer to your goal!

Good morning menu peeps. I have a rotten cold so I'm taking a sick day. First time since surgery and I'm hoping it doesn't last long. I have no idea what's on my menu because at this moment all I want is something soft and warm - my throat is sore. Sorry for whining.

Hoping to feel well enough to exercise later.
