What's on your Menu today (Thursday) RNYers?
Good morning DD2 and gang. Long time, no post. Things have been off the charts crazy at work. Not only am I going out on medical for 2 weeks for my plastics next week, US Customs just announced last week that they are rolling out the transition of drawback from ACS to ACE on July 8th. That basically means that everything about the way I do my job is going to change, and more than likely the system will be broken, which will bring my job to a complete halt. I am supposed to come back from medical on July 5th, which means I'll have 3 days to finish everything up before they break it completely. Most of you guys will have no idea what this means, but if you work at all in Customs Brokerage, you will have an idea of what I'm talking about, and you will pity me. The client that I work with exclusively has asked that we get as much filed before ACE roll out as humanly possible, so I've literally been up to my eyeballs in spreadsheets, sample documents and forms. I have worked millions and millions of lines of data and I'm not even close to being done. The only good thing about it is that my supervisor can pick up where I leave off and finish up anything that straggles in after I am out.
On top of that, my hubby left for work in Indianapolis on Monday and will finally be home tonight, so I've been running as a single mom all week, and since I gave up wine for Plastic Surgery, it's been a real struggle to stay on track with my food. I keep resetting, so I'm okay, but it's a struggle. I'm trying to really push protein forward, and I've found the Premier Protein Clear, and I LOVE it. 90 calories, 20g of Whey Protein Isolate and 1g carbs (no sugar). I'm not one to drink Protein Shakes on a regluar basis, as I like to eat and don't need the added calories from a drink, but because I want to push my protein as high as I can for post plastic surgery, I will likely be having at least one of these a day.
Accountability(this is new, but I like it): I haven't been logging my food. Starting today, I'm back on the horse.

Hi everyone!
I'm doing pretty well but dealing with nearly constant hunger the last week or so and it's staring to frustrate me a bit. I'm trying to drink more because I've seen that that can cause it but that isn't working as well as I hoped it might. I don't believe it's a reflux issue because the hunger pains I'm feeling are very low in my abdomen. I'm eating dense protein but I believe this is just hunger making it's return in my life. I've had 8 hunger-less months regardless of how little I ate so I guess I'm due for it to return. I just was hoping it wouldn't.
Accountability: yesterday went as planned except I had cheese instead of turkey at snack time
B: decaf, protein hot chocolate
S: babybel and string cheese
L: prosciutto
S: turkey
D: grilled salmon

Did you have a lot of acid issues with the band? I am back on PPIs twice a day and it is really helping with the mock hunger that the silent acid was giving me. Not sure if that is what's going on with you, but maybe worth checking into it?
I did have a lot of reflux with the band and I've wondered but it's so low in my abdomen. Wonder if I should try taking some and see f I notice a difference. Not sure how else I'd figure it out.

Greetings!
Yesterday I did OK, though I did have a handful of pretzels with my evening snack (cheese). Usually I just have some decaf coffee and maybe a piece of cheese or a pepperette (turkey) IF i have an evening snack, but it was a nice treat anyway. Because I was so active yesterday (cycle commute, yard work, 1.5 hrs of beach volleyball) I lost 3 lbs this morning. The rest of the day's menu was the same as today:
B: protein shake with 500ml (2 cups) water
MS: 1/2 cup 1% cottage cheese, 2 oz. cantaloupe
L: same as breakfast
AS: 1/2 cup FF greek yogurt, 2 oz. cantaloupe
S: Probably 1.5 oz chicken breast on the grill, cut up on 3/4 cup garden salad.
Yesterday's supper was 1 oz cheese with a few triscuit thins and a pepperette (which was GLORIOUS). My wife laughs at me when I describe food now.
All sorts of water at work and throughout the physical activity, and all vitamins.

Remember, no matter where you go.......there you are.
Good afternoon Daisy and menu friends!
First I want to say here how impressed I am at the Post Daisy made for the AMAW and CAMAW winners! OMG you do a FANTASTIC JOB of keeping track and I am so grateful you are willing to do this! To all the participants of AMAW and CAMAW I promise I won't join unless I'm prioritizing my commitment to the diet at the very top of my list!
Accountability: I am definitely having challenges getting my daytime meals in while at work. The good news is that I don't eat other things, the bad news is I'm sure the sudden feeling of hunger after work drive poor choices. I didn't post yesterday (I was in all day training) but I had a piece of pepperoni pizza and a small salad for lunch. The pizza square was small and the crust thin but with the 1/2 cup of salad and RANCH dressing, it still took my lunch calories to 458!!! Then I fell for the "well what the hell, might as well have an afternoon cookie!" trap which didn't help matters. When I got home I ate a spoonful of peanut butter (2tbsp) before heading out for my "run" and when I got back three hours later (1 mile jog, 4+ miles walk with a stop at the dog park) I drank 10oz of G2 and a can of Pure Protein chocolate for dinner.
That took me to: Total Calories: 1118 Protein: 72 Carbs: 82 Sugar: 35 That makes yesterday my highest calorie day since surgery.
11 weeks post RNY/174lbs/Weight loss stage
B- 1/2 cup cottage cheese mixed with 1/2 scoop Nectar Protein Powder
MS- Kroger's iced cookie (yes I know I know!!!!!!!!)
L- Tuna packet
AS- 1/2 cup cottage cheese mixed with 1/2 scoop Nectar Protein Powder
D- 1/2 cup red sauce with venison meatballs
ES- The dinner above will be stretched over a few hours
Total Calories: 782 Protein: 94 Carbs: 59 Sugar: 28
E- Tonight I will be driving from work to a graduation party, then to my farm where I'll make venison meatballs and spaghetti, then finally home to my (northern Ohio) apt for the night. No time for real exercise but I am using my under desk elliptical right now, and as my thighs hurt as I type this it should count for something! Since I only see a slight increase in my heart rate I assume there is little that "counts" as exercise but I think it's better than being totally inactive.
Vitamins- I take them throughout the day, chewable mulitvitamine (2), solid 500 mg calcium w/ D3 (3), chewable Iron, biotin, and semiweekly sublingual B12.
Anyone else taking miss-matched chewables like a minty vitamin followed by a citrus iron pill? I need to try to remember this when I'm shopping!
