What's on your menu today (Wednesday) RNYers?
Congratulations. This brought a little tear to my eye. I remember sitting at my youngest's middle school graduation...I remember thinking "This is the last time I will have a middle school kid..the last middle school concert...the last middle school anything" and clutching my Guy's hand. It was an important ritual for me. Rite of passage. Totally for the people watching, not for the kids. He doesn't even remember it probably but I will never forget.

Better to think its a day earlier. All day yesterday I thought it was Wednesday. It was sad when I realized it wasn't.
Accountability: I was having a tremendous chocolate craving last night and the only thing in my house was a snack pack pudding. Not sugar free. I ate half of it and tipped over my calories and carbs. It was satisfying for a second and then the craving intensified. I won't be doing that again. 700cals 45carbs, 61 protein

L: 2oz sliced deli ham and 1oz cheese
S: turkey pepperoni
D: chicken breast with parmesan cheese and side salad
I'll probably go for a walk at lunch. It's beautiful today.

Good morning guys!
If any of you have extra fingers and toes that can be crossed I totally would appreciate it. We had a playdate yesterday with a couple of my son's friends and overnight one of them started throwing up - definitely NOT something we want in this house when I'm just 7 days out from surgery. I swear kid germs are eeeeeevil! My son declares he feels fine this morning so we'll see. We were going to hit the pool again today but in light of that I think we'll stay in...it's supposed to be a high of 90 today but feel like 101, ick! I surprised myself last night by squatting over 1/3 of my bodyweight. Pat took some pictures and video so we can compare where I am now versus 6mos. post-surgery.
Accountability: I did pretty well yesterday, stuck to what I had planned and tracked everything. timing meals was a bit off because we were running around so much but I've been getting good at throwing an ice-pack in a cooler bag with a couple protein shakes and healthy snacks, so I've got them available no matter where I am.

Good Morning!
I'd rather be face down in bed, but I'm here at work. SIGH. Need to win that lotto!! Work is rather stressful right now-nothing new really and yesterday? Well yesterday was fun.
Accountability: I stayed on track for breakfast and my morning snack. I was on calls all day so lunch was tough. Whilst on one of those calls I fell off the wagon and boy did I fall hard. I ate 2, not 1 but 2 mini packs of Brookside chocolates (The ones from the box you buy at Costco.) 2!!! I was stressing out on the call, I was super frustrated on the call...and one of the coworkers came by and was handing them out as we were all on the same call. What do I do? Eat the damn things!! Without a second thought!!! ARGH!!! The only plus side to all of this-aside from my ass that is? I FINALLY had some success in the bathroom last night! My apologies for TMI. But SUCCESS!!! WOO HOOO! The rest of the night I ate my hamburger and had about 4 sf popsicles. And a handful of almonds. SIGH. I had been doing so well. Anyhow, it could have been worse. But it could have been better as well. Today is a new day!!
So for today:
Breakfast: Tea with Miralax and a BBQ hamburger
Snack: Premier Protein-half a container that's leftover from yesterday
Lunch: BBQ Hamburger
Snack: Greek yogurt with some flax and chia seeds added in.
Supper: Tuna with Balsamic and some red peppers.
Snack: 2 SF popsicles
Water: aim for 100oz, usually go over. today I'm using pineapple sf mix.
Exercise: I HAVE to start running again. 5Km on July 15. This will not be good. Also, an hour with the trainer. My last 3 sessions now. I'm going to miss her.
Today is pizza and ice cream day at work. I will not cave. I will NOT cave. I will stick to my menu. and I will say NO to the 2 containers of ju jubes sitting outside my cubicle.

Jujubes??! OMG... I used to buy those and eat the WHOLE big box of them without a second thought, actually I used to buy several boxes at once from the Dollar Store, you know, because they were ONLY a dollar... thankfully my teeth can't handle them anymore, but boy did I used to love those...
And I used to wonder how I got so big...
