First month after RNY
I didn't lose all that much (compared to some people, for me it was a decent amount). I "only" lost 15.
which, I mean, is pretty good. Some people just lose way more than I did. BUT I did lose so I'm happy
you'll find people on here who lose that much, but they're definitely the exception. And most of them start off at over 300 lbs. Just casually reading people's posts and checking out their signature lines, I would say most lose in the 15-25 lb range the first month (I lost 16 - and I was pretty heavy!)

First month loss seems to vary greatly with the individual. Folks with higher BMIs often will lose a greater number of pounds than others. Stalls are not infrequent, some even occurring sometime in the first month. If you have been losing at a good clip on your pre-op diet you may not have as huge a loss in the first month post-op. Eventually it all works out. It's all a process, but as long as we stick to plan everyone should have a decent loss - for them. I am still pre-op, so I am not speaking from experience, just from learning from others here. Many people here have a ticker at the bottom of their posts which details how much they lost and when. Good luck with your journey!
