Thank you for responding! I really appreciated everyone's thoughts, nothing beats a Vets input!

does your weight remain pretty stable around 1500? Do you follow a low carb meal plan, plant based, etc?

yes, it does. My weight has been at 142-145 since I hit maintenance about two months ago. You have to kind of play around with this, though, to find the calorie range it takes to keep you where you want to be, because everyone's different. Like Kat said, she can only eat about 900 kcal to maintain. There's another vet on here who maintains on 1800 - and another at 2000! Seems like there are quite a few who are in the 1200-1600 range. You just have to experiment to see what does the trick for you.

I never did ultra-low-carb (like 40 g or less - like lots of people on here do), but while I was in the losing phase, I usually was under 80 and always under 100. Now that I'm in maintenance, I'm usually in the 100-150 range. So it's on the low side compared to normal people, but high for WLS folks. However, I'm not particularly carb-sensitive. I know a lot of folks are, so they might run into trouble with that amount.
