Personally I just use vanilla extract and sweetener. While I usually like liquid Splenda, for this I use Swerve- which is a powder erythritol mix... to me it tastes whipped creamish.

You can add powdered SF Pudding mix. 1 Tbsp is one serving/25calories. You might need to add a little milk to thin it out if it gets too thick.

Other flavored extracts and SF Syrups like Torani's or DaVinci's.

You got me thinking... I may try some cocoa powder and sweetener and see how that goes...

Oh Duh! The Torani Syrups! I use those all the time on Ricotta. I haven't purchased splenda or any other plain sweetener yet but I need to.

I have an Instant Pot pressure cooker, and use it to make yogurt. I use a gallon of whole milk and use Fage total for a starter. I've never tried to make yogurt without the Instant Pot.

Store bought favorites are Stonyfield Farm plain whole milk yogurt, Dannon Light and Fit Greek, Dannon Triple Zero, and sometimes I treat myself to a brand called Traderspoint Creamery whole milk plain yogurt. It comes in a tiny glass jar and is creamy and very mild.

I'll sweeeten the plain yogurt I buy ( and make ) with Splenda and flavor it with vanilla and cinnamon.

I've stopped buying sour cream and use plain yogurt in its place.

I woke up in between a memory and a dream...

I use Choboni plain greek yogurt. You can add splenda to it or fruit.I also add a little crysatl light for flavor or sugar free Kool-Aid.Can also add sugar free jello or pudding.I bought some sugar free syrups[by the coffee section] and add.White chocolate syrup tastes like cheesecake. So many of the falvored yogurts have too much sugar or fat.I had the sleeve in 2011 and revision due to acid reflux Nov.2016.These have worked well for me.

Sometimes I add Bare Naked Fit Granola.Love the Vanilla Almond. This is lower in sugar and fat than most granola. Hope this helps you.

Growing up 1/2 Armenian my grandmother would make homemade yogurt every couple of days. That didn't translate to my Virginia born mom. My grandmother's yogurt (Modzoone SP...In Armenian) was a bit runny. You had to drain some of the water from the bowl. I think she would reuse cultures for awhile...Then go buy and start new ones for new batches of (Greek) yogurt.

Today (for me) it really doesn't matter which plain Greek yogurt I get. As long as it's low fat or non fat. I will then add my own fresh fruit to whatever is around the kitchen. It is crazy how cheap food is here in California. Even during the winter we get tons of food shipped in from Central America and Mexico. Many times in the off season I can buy a cantaloupe or watermelon for $1.

Anyways...I will add things like fresh; bananas, blueberries, strawberries, grapes, blackberries...Today (out of season). In season just pick your fruit to add to your plain Greek yogurt. You can do what I do also...Cheat!! I'm over 10 years out. I will take my Greek yogurt and add (my wife's) small fruit yogurt cup (full of high fructose corn syrup and some real fruit) and mix them together (About 70 Greek/30 fake fruit)...Then I will add my own real fruit to the mix. It will last about a week. Just me...Brian

What part of California? I live in Tahoe, CA and while those fruits are available year round, they aren't inexpensive probably because they have to ship it up here. But it's worth it the cost to have heathy foods.

thank you for the tips!

I live in Turlock. In Tahoe everything is real expensive. If you can find a 99 Cent Only Store you will see what is available. They are kicking Walmart's rear end when it comes to prices and distribution. At Walmart (here in Turlock) a small watermelon is usually $3.99 while at the 99 Cent Only Store it's a buck...Same with Cantaloupe.

Also a cool thing about living in the Central Valley is all the fruit you can grow here. At my house and at our two rentals, (our tenants share half and half on the fruit trees and grape vines), I grow 14 grapevines, 3 peach trees, 2 nectarine trees, 4 orange trees (one is a blood orange), 5 almond trees, 1 cherry tree, 1 persimmon tree, 1 fig tree (those last two my late mother in law chose...I don't like), 1 tangerine tree, 1 plum tree, and 1 apricot tree. I also plant a few strawberry and tomato plants. Just a few cool things about living where I am. The bad things are things like many 100 degree plus days in the summer. And much of the smog from the Bay Area travels into the Central Valley...Not cool to exercise hard in the smog. Brian
