Good Morning and Happy Green Fri-Yay! Wow, March has not been good for you, glad with those things happening though that everyone was safe. Did you get the meeting done with the running group/place?

QOTD: I am so sorry you don't have any, that makes me sad. I have one that I still have that I received when I visited my grandparents in upstate New York when I was 4. Short story, I was born in Homer, NY, we moved to CA when I was 2. My sister, mother and I took the Greyhound to visit ONCE (I was 4 and my sister was 6). The stuffed animal is a dog and he has a big, what used to be brown, nose then I sucked on all the way home on the bus. I will see if hubby will send me a pic of it and post it later. I left all the others when I was kicked out of my parents house at 16 1/2....now that is a LONG story.

Time since surgery: 2 years, 7 months

B: SF latte, eggbeaters with roasted red pepper, ½ an orange and 2 turkey sausage links

L: Turkey lettuce wraps (Albacore tuna mixed with mustard/romaine lettuce leaves) and baby carrots

S: SF latte, Yoplait Greek 100 mixed berry yogurt, jerky pack, and a boiled egg

D: TJ turkey burger, green beans and ¼ c FF cottage cheese

E: 7 miles (Yay!) this morning and 40 mins of elliptical at lunch

V/W: On track

Happy St. Patricks Day everyone!

JB. Liz and Karen you guys all have such sad and scary stories! My month is June, I will forever dislike June.

My sister and BIL return from their trip tonight and we are picking them up at 1:30 am so our St. Patricks celebrations will happen with that in mind. Not that I would be partaking in anything that would prevent me from driving but we both need to drive a vehicle up there tonight so I think he was pretty bummed about the timing. I'll take him for at least one green beer though, I'm not a monster.

I do have a bit of Irish heritage but not enough to permit me from suggesting I'm Irish. For 3 years I worked with a guy who had moved to Canada from Ireland with his family about 7 years before we met. Now HE was Irish. I learned so much working with him; terminology, what it was really like living there (hearing gunfire regularly, giant walls and fences, walking the long way to school because it wasn't safe to enter certain neighborhoods in his school uniform etc.), a lot about rugby and the cheddar cheese that his hometown was famous for. It was eye opening to hear first hand about the Ireland that isn't all leprechauns, potatoes and Guinness.

QOTD There is a stuffed German Sheppard dog from my childhood that sits in a toy rocking chair in my moms basement. His nose is gone but apparently that was taken off on purpose in fear that I would swallow it.

Not a lick of Irish in this girl, but I love the holiday, a reason to be festive and have fun... oh, and my Wedding Anniversary, which we picked so it would always be a reason to celebrate with everyone! LOL

QOTD: I've been fortunate to not have ever experienced a fire... I'm sorry you've had to go through that, Julia! My mom kept very little to NOTHING... some pictures, but that's it. I remember when she sold all of my stuffed animals in a garage sale when I was about 18... everything gets sold in garage sales with my mom... sigh. I have a few things for the kids in the attic. Hopefully just enough to give them memories, but not too much to inundate their lives when I give it back to them
