Good morning JB. I'm back in the office today. Working from home gives me a little bit of anxiety, because I feel pushed to make sure I get stuff done and don't just sit around watching daytime TV when I'm there. Add to that, I had my youngest home with me, which puts extra pressure on me to make sure that I'm productive. I go out of my way to do extra work and work longer than I normally would to make up for the fact that I'm at home. I didn't actually quit working last night until 9pm. Of course, that wasn't working straight through, since we had dinner, and I had to run out to the store for some stuff in the evening when my hubby finally got home from his business trip. I probably worked at least 9 hours yesterday total, so it's a win for the company, for sure. I'm an hourly employee, so I am pretty strict with my time card.

My hubby is off work today because he's going to his exercise class for the WLS program! Our program makes you go down and they have you do exercise and sit through a seminar and give a "prescription" of exercise. It's kinda hokey, but its a requirement, so they have to do it. I expect he will have his surgery sometime this summer. I've talked to him about joining us here on OH, and he said he'd likely pop on and read up when it gets closer to surgery, but that he's really not looking to get into the online community. But, I met him on the internet, so you never know, he might poke his head in and get hooked like me. Then you guys would really be in for it, because he can be a real smart ass, especially on the internet, LOL.

19 months since surgery

B: Coffee with sugar free coffeemate and a Carbmaster Protein smoothie. I didn't pack any food today but this smoothie. I'm kinda going to try to scale back today for a reset.

L: Chicken salad with Bolthouse Farms Ranch. I'm going to get the salad from downstairs deli and use the dressing that I brought in this week.

D: Grilled chicken breast with salsa and cheese

S: a Carbmaster Protein smoothie

No totals today.

I'm wearing my patches and am taking my dry Vitamin D. I've been on point with my vitamins. I also took 2 B12 sublinguals this morning, but I'm still having tingly fingers on my left hand. I will have to bring this up to my PCP if it's still going on when I see him next time.

I hear you on the anxiety of working form home. I always get more done because I am paranoid that people will assume I am watching soaps and eating bonbons. But in reality there is no one to have water cooler gossip with, so I get a lot more done without even trying.

Good Morning,

As this is my first time back in here after a long absence and resulting weight gain - I am going to list my planned meals. Please keep in mind that I had packed my items before my determination to get back on track. LOL

B: Strawberry Light and Fit Greek Yogurt with 1/4 c. Protein Granola

S: Cheddar Cheese and Crackers (after todays readings - I will ditch the crackers and just have the cheese)

L: Cheeseburger patty - no bun

S: Uncle Rays BBQ Chips (:( sadly I really love these - but back home they go and I will replace with some almonds I have in my drawer).

D: Was leaning towards Pillsbury biscuit pizza - but now... cottage cheese with some fresh fruit

Thanks everyone for the reminder that better choices can definitely be made. I have definitely added bad choices back to my routine. Thus the gain. I have upped my water for today also :)

I have missed the support and stories here. Glad I decided today was the day to start again!

I am no longer defined, by the wreckage behind!

Welcome back!

IMHO you should pick something much yummier than cottage cheese and fresh fruit for dinner, especially if you're trying to stay full. Ditch it, grab a burger from somewhere, sans the bun!

Eat Meat. Stay Full. Eat Meat. Stay Full. Eat Meat. Stay Full....

That mantra is also for my benefit!

I agree with Pam'S advice. Cottage cheese is a slider food and not likely to keep you feeling full like some meat. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a burger without the bun for a quick meal. I love bun less 5 Guys burgers. Now you've got me craving one!
