Sore pouch woes

I oopsed yesterday and ate a few bites too many. It was pretty soft food, but still. My pouch is now sore, not helped by me having a bad chest cough on top of that.

I've only had liquids today. The thought of eating food doesn't appeal because of the soreness. I've been searching through posts but not really seeing answers:

1) is liquids the best way to go until the pouch soreness subsides after something like this?

2) How long does it usually last? I'm hoping not more than a couple days

Yes stick to liquids or super soft foods for a day or so. Give your pouch some time and the pain should start to lessen. See your your surgeon if the pain increases or there is no improvement.

Good luck!

Yup. Nik is right. I had an episode early out where I didn't chew properly or ate too fast (maybe both?)

i went back to liquids for a couple of days, then Tried again!

Absolutely agree with Nik & Insert Fitness.

We have all been there and done that...

Definitely stick to fluids but please ensure that you get all the liquid protein in.

Protein is imperative for tissue healing.

This too will pass... Hang in there..

Take care
