Good morning menu peeps! It's 38 degrees here! It's supposed to be back in the mid 70s by Sunday. I wi**** would snow this year. It hasn't snowed since 2009. You know I hate the cold but I will put up with it so my daughter can see snow.
I'm not big on peppermint or sweets but I did buy some dark chocolate covered coffee beans. I ate about 5 of them while walking around the grocery store and I could have ran home! They are really good and not real sweet!!!
QOTD: My biggest major pet peeve is people that have a chip on their shoulder or feel entitled for whatever reason. They are usually disrespectful too. Life is too short! GET OVER YOURSELF!!!
My photo Friday is my 13 year old son Joe at the ugly sweater Christmas dance. He actually liked the sweater and all the kids thought it cool. Ugly sweater Fail I guess??

Good morning everyone!
My BIL is the proud owner of the bacon toothpaste along with several other nauseating bacon products including bacon frosting, bacon lollipops, bacon gum, bacon soap, bacon dental floss... the list goes on and on. He is usually given two of each item, one to try and one to put into his collecton.
QOTD One of my biggest pet peeves is poor table manners, chewing with your mouth open, slurping soup or the last bits of cereal straight out of the bowl or continuing to suck on a straw long after all the liquids have clearly left the cup. I've tried to ignore it but it drives me bonkers. Another thing that always gets me is people wasting water. Blasting the tap on full when brushing your teeth or washing your driveway... aaahhh!! I grew up in the country on a well and we were raised to be very conservative with it. Being wasteful with hydro is another one but that has a lot to do with the ridiculous rates we pay here in Ontario.
My calories today will come mainly from protein shakes but I'll have some tuna for lunch and cottage cheese and chili for dinner.
My picture is me with my best friend after winning co-ed softball last year. The one thing we don't have in common is our love for cameras. I avoid them as much as possible and he goes out of his way to be in as many pics as he can. I'm working on changing that because I regret not having many pictures of myself with the people I love, many of whom are no longer with us, but I do have a lot of pics with him!! He is an amazingly supportive person and we text each other every day. My soulmate in friendship form.
Good morning Daisy and all of you menu peeps. I remain skeptical of the candy cane almonds. I am working from home for the second day in a row. It snowed yesterday, and then turned to freezing rain. This morning, everything is still coated in ice, including the streets in my neighborhood. No way am I attempting to drive on that ice rink. Luckily, all of my meetings today are conference calls or web meetings, so it works out. Plus I get to go to work in my jammies!
This is the view outside of my windows (front and back yard). It is supposed to melt off by this evening, so my weekend plans should be safe. Ugh. The freezing rain just started up again.
Speaking of, I am having a ladies spa day tomorrow morning, I am taking my neices and 5 of my great neices for mani/pedis and then to lunch. It will be so fun! Then my architect is coming over to measure the basement for the plans he is drawing for my remodel, On Sunday I fly out at 11:00 am to go to Oakland, CA for a work thing. There is a reception on Sunday night, and then an all day meeting on Monday. I'll catch a late flight back to Portland on Monday night.
QOTD: People at work that don't take notes at a meeting and then can't remember anything that happened in the meeting. If you don't have a good memory, then write it down people! Makes me crazy.

Good morning and happy Friday! Daisy, those snacks look awesome. I need to find the peppermint almonds. Off to walmart this weekend. Wait . . . did I just say that??? I'm voluntarily going to Walmart 2 weeks before Christmas??? May have to re-think those plans. As for the weekend . . . I actually do need to get my shopping done. I need my assistant's gift by next Friday as the firm's holiday party is Saturday and she leaves on vacation the 20th. Any suggestions? Also, I'm running the Santa Monica/Venice Christmas 10k tomorrow. My surgeon is running also and he invited me to a post run get together at his house. He said it's a nice way to relax after the run. It's mainly his partners, trainees and other friends . . . so my friends and I (the token patient) will go for a little while. He told me that he would make sure there's appropriate food/snacks for me. I'm blown away by his kindness. Stacy's QOTD: I feel compelled to bring a little gift for him and his wife. Wine??? Any other suggestions???
Also, today was a happy day today (although I hate allowing my weight to define my happiness) At 122.5 I reached my lowest adult weight. If I would have had my phone with me, that would have been my photo friday pic!
DQOTD: the "it's not my job" people. Get over yourself. Can't we just all work together to get the job done??? I'm always willing to help, and it drives me crazy when others don't reciprocate.
Plan: I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel food wise, so it's a mash up of whatever's available.
B: 2.8 oz deli turkey and 5 blueberries
L: 3.7 oz tri tip and a few bites of broccoli
D:????
S: Skinny vanilla latte, quest bar (maybe)
No totals because everything is up in the air, but will be under 1000 cal and over 80g protein. . . . carbs are another story
