I think the users of the patches need to step up and set the record straight.

15 years post op.  Dx with vitamin def in 2013-2014 started patches on 2015.  Lab levels are rising and back within WNL.

I could not achieve this if the lab Unjury used for the study, were right, could I?    Btw, I only use patches.

No, that's not true.

Problem is, a handful of patch users (from a non-random sample of users) reporting positive results isn't statistically reliable; it's only anecdotal proof.

My surgeon also does not recommend them for me at present, but only because he feels he does not know enough about them.  I am early out, so trying the regular vitamin approach.  But many veterans here use them and swear by them.  I would trust any one of them over this "study".

Grim, did you not say your life turned around with them?  I would totally trust your experience.  Too bad, I do like some of the Unjury products but that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Puts me in mind of an election that is coming up...

Almost everything was fine with regular vitamins, and has continued fine for the past year on the patch.

The only things that were off before was calcium and my PTH. I was up to 2500 of calcium citrate per day, and my numbers were still off, and my osteopenia was getting worse.

Between the calcium in the patch and an additional calcium/D3 patch, that trend has reversed, and is much improved.

This isn't a PSA; this is an 'I told you so' post.

Unjury did a study? Hmm, that's not at all suspect since they are competitors. I read the blurb. Unjury didn't do a study. They tested one sample.

So test your own samples on a food scale.

There is no reason for any of us to test samples on a food scale.  The labs being drawn are proof enough.
