surgery may be delayed :(
So, my RNY is supposed to be Monday. I am so ready. But thanks to Hurricane Matthew my surgery will likely be cancelled. (it is in Wilmington NC). I know it is selfish to focus on my surgery in the face of such a huge potential disaster, but honestly, I am super bummed :'(
Oh no!! I can relate!! live in Houston and my surgery was scheduled for 5 days after Hurricane Ike in 2008. I was worried mine would be cancelled, too, but it went off without a hitch. Most of the city was without electricity and half the city was flooded, but the med center was safe.
For me, the worst part would have been having to repeat the 2 week liquid diet my doctor required. I would have been pissed!! lol

Thanks for letting me vent! I am doing the liquid diet too. I still don't know what will happen. I may not know until Sunday night.
Thanks! I sure don't want to come across narcissistic and self absorbed, but man will I be disappointed!
Let us know what happens. Hopefully won't take too long...

Thanks so much! yeah, I think the worst will be over but I don't know if power outages or residual flooding will be an issue. Hoping it will still work out, but wont know until Sunday evening
