Oh, chocolate flavored calcium pills?  I may have to try those!  Thanks for the suggestion, Kelly!

I have the same calcium vitamins! They sell them at my surgeon's office, but my NUT said if I wanted to save money I can wait another month to take them. I also got the Peanut Butter Chocolate Flavor, and the Caramel Flavor. Haven't tried them yet but I will soon!

QOTD: I'm still tossing around a few things as far as low carb healthy snacks. I've tried the Moon cheese and Mr Cheestos, and I don't know why, but they just don't do it for me. I've had a few different protein bars, and I either didn't care for them (Quest), or liked them too much and decided not to buy them (Power Crunch). I like my Premier Protein shakes, but I'm going to try changing that up with the Syntrax Nectar as soon as my order gets here (Tomorrow). I think I would like to stick to more unrefined things like meats and cheeses as snacks... but who knows. I'm only 4.5 months out! I've got a lot of learning to do yet!

B: Premier Protein shake

L: Meeting my Broker for lunch at a German place, I already found a sausage sampler plate that has no bread and comes with sauerkraut and mustard as the sides!

D: Leftover chicken thighs and maybe roasted cauliflower

S: My last Tillamook beef stick

Good morning all, it's sunny and a *****illy here south of Boston but is supposed to warm up to the 70's,   I'm home today and tomorrow getting house ready and baking for my daughter's confirmation on Saturday.  Work has been so crazy lately I haven't been able to sign on during the day and I'm beat by the time I get home.  So I still had to get up at 5:30 to get daughter moving this a.m., worked out, scoured the kitchen and hit the market early for a few needed items.  Need to start the baking soon.

QOTD:  The only thing I order on line is my calcium from Bariatric Advantage or is it Bariatric Choice.  Can't remember at the moment.  Sometimes i can get it from Amazon as well.  I will have to check out Netrition . I buy some things from a local store called "Good Health" I can get my Jay Robb protein powder, quest bars (i rarely buy those) and my organic vitamins.  Everything else is from Stop & Shop or Shaws which are the local supermarkets.

Time since surgery 17  months.

B:  Jay Robb Protein Shake w/Almond Milk,   Coffee

L:  turkey & Cheese roll up, hb egg

D:  chicken and green beans

S:  Dannon L&R vanilla coconut

I made one of eggfaces treats the other day, I mixed some yogurt with protein powder and froze it in my little round ice cube trays.  My daughter and I both love them.  Bought a few flavors of yogurt to make more.

Good Morning Everyone!

Yes, I have some days that I breeze through and other days that I seem to be hungry all day long.  Weird!

QOTD:  I LOVE Moon Cheese and order it from Netrition.com.  I eat two "servings" at a time (approximately 13 pieces) for 140 calories, 10 grams protein and 2 grams carbs.

My menu for today:

B:  crepe w/ fresh peach, cream cheese, cool whip

L:  lettuce, spinach, tomato, chicken, cheese, low cal dressing

D:  taco mean & 1/2 flour tortilla shell

S:  Oiko's Triple Zero coconut greek yogurt

S:  Moon cheese

Have a fantastic day, everyone!

That crepe gets me every TIME you post it!  Are you making it with milk, egg, flour and butter?  Or some other lower carb recipe?  So jealous.  Please share.

1 T butter

3 large eggs

1 C all-purpose flour

1 T sugar substitute

1/2 t salt

1 1/2 C whole milk (you need the fat from the whole milk)

  • Directions
  • Melt the butter for approximately 30 seconds in the microwave, or until just melted (do not allow it to separate). While whisking, gradually add the remaining ingredients. Continue to whis****il it's very smooth. There should not be lumps like a pancake batter.
  • In a nonstick skillet over medium heat, heat the pan for about 2 minutes. Spray with cooking spray (it needs to be extra non-stick), and gently ladle a bit of the batter into the pan. Swirl the pan around over the heat so the batter is well distributed. Cook for about 1 minute per side, and remove from heat. Fold in your favorite fillings.

I haven't gotten so I snack any, other than a greek yogurt some nights if I have to get some more protein in.  I ordered from Nashua Nutrition prior to surgery because they let you buy single serving protein powders, so I bought a ton of them and found what I really liked and what I didn't like.  I also buy carbquick and a erythritol sugar ( which is the only fake sugar I can cook with that my husband thinks that I am using real sugar...lol)  but I can't remember where I buy those from, I will have to look up the sales slip because I need to order more.  Carbquick, on Pinterest they have a yeast roll recipe that I make that taste exactly like real yeast rolls and they are only 1 carb each.
