There are plenty of people 5+ years out here. You might check out the What Are You Eating thread for some good ideas.

Went to the local support group meeting tonight...I hadn't been for over a year.  I'll post above about some new insights I got.  The physican's assistant was there...She has been working with WLS (RNY) patient for 10 years.  She said if you are 25% or less of the weight you started from you are considered a success.  So if you start at 200 pounds and loose 100 pounds (goal weight)...If you regain 25 pounds you would be considered a WLS success.  See my post above on something I have never heard before.  PS Diet and exercise...Always have and will be the issue.  Simple carb=The Devil!!

I had mine in 2005, I gained back about 40 around 4 years ago and then woke the heck up and got it right back off in a few months. Now I might only fluctuate 5-10 lbs between winter and summer.

Thanks!

And don't sweat it too much. Don't look at the scale so much. Remember if you are exercising, you add muscle mass as well. You are already a success!   BIG SMILE!!

7.5 yrs out .I wiggle around in a 10 pound bubble, my body kind of says,"oh no you don't!" and it comes back off. It usually means I have been eating when I really need a drink. I had my surgery in 2009, and lost 135 pounds. walk a few more steps, and chew more. Mostly be patient, it won't melt off like at first, just don't give up. You can do it.
