Going back to work after Lap Band Removal and RNY

I only have about 10 days of sick leave for my surgery on 9/19/2016! Am I foolish for thinking I can return to work so soon?

I have mine scheduled for the 22nd of this month and I am returning to work on Oct 3rd. I am taking off the next week and then back to work!

Everyone heals differently. Also it depends on the type of job. A sedentary one would be easier than a physical one. I am older having this surgery so found 3 weeks returning I was still tired by the end of the day

As Pat said, it depends on the job. I had an office job, so while I tired easily, it was no trouble to go back to work at two and half weeks. I could have gone back sooner but I had the time so I stayed home and took naps.

don't do it .... RNY ruined my life. 

that's a pretty ****ty thing to throw down on someone who is getting ready to have surgery, with no explanation or anything?
