Hi JB and menu peeps,

I'm with you on feeling miserable after eating crap. And not even crap in my case. I've figured out that I dump on fruit, I dump on fatty stuff and last night I had about a T of thousand island dressing with a small salad and felt ****ty afterwards. These are powerful incentives to eat well!

Qotd: I don't see movies often and rarely go to the theater. The last time I went to the theater I saw Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. I loved it and made my family watch it at home. We have Zootopia waiting on our watch list with Amazon so we may watch that tonight.

I'm not too confident on my menu today. I still feel sick from last night's salad dressing. Here's what I think it will look like.

Brunch 2 eggs, 2 slices bacon, coffee with cream

Dinner ham, cheese and lettuce wraps

Snack Light and fit Greek yogurt, beef jerky, laughing cow cheese wedge

Your menu looks pretty good.

I would skip the creamy dressings, they are not worth it. Too much sugar and too much fat.  I usually make my own viniagrette, except for Caesar, I use  Cardinis light  when I make chicken Casear salad.  I also make a sugar free teriyaki sauce and a sugar free bbq sauce, both of which I found on Pinterest.  They help make meat easier to get and keep down without adding too many calories, fat or sugar.  There are brands that aren't too bad, Annies make low sugar bbq sauce and salad dressings, Soy Vey makes a somewhat llow sugar brand of teriyaki and hoisin garlic sauce, I use those occasionally.

As for fruit, I very rarely have any, I do try to not eat my old favorites like canteloupe, oranges and nectarines, again too much sugar. Berries are fine for me and once in a while a little  pineapple or half an apple.

See if you can find the Bolthouse Farms dressing. It's usually in the produce department.  Thousand Island is my fave dressing, but i don't eat it anymore because it has a lot of sugar.

Morning all, its cool and grey and overcast here too. Its a go to the Mall or clean the house kind of day.  I have a Stat holiday tomorrow and the rest of the week here weather wise is supposed to be amazing, sunny & warm, I can't wait!! Tomorrow you will find me in the backyard on the lounger reading my book and getting some sun!

I could not agree with you more about how its not worth it.  Its so damn hard to fight the head hunger/sweets demon (or pick your fav pre surgery indulgence).  My mind still wants candy, cookies and CAKE, and over the last 2 yrs + 8 mos I have tried some and like you said its just not worth it, it really is not after you feel like crap for hours after.  But such is this journey of life, we live and we learn. Hope you guys feel better today.

Good job on hitting the gym this morning!! YAY. Hubby and I are on our way to the gym as soon as I finish this post, its going to hurt and I may be lying on the couch taking Tylenol the rest of the day LOL LOL

QOTD: last movie we saw in the theater was Despicable Me 2 it was so funny, that was probably a year ago or more.   It was a Saturday morning and hubby and I were the only two adults there with no kids.  We love movies but the theater's around here are expensive and not so great so we don't really go. We watch a lot of movies online.

Morning! Gym them relax-- I hope you stuck to it!

ive been to the gym and grocery store and am about to shower and dress. Today's agenda  includes cleaning the bathroom, coloring my grays and a trim to my hair. More cleaning and then cooking.

Last night was so awkward- I was at my in-laws. A lady (who is in her 60's) my hubby has known since the 90's and does odd jobs for awkwardly professed her love for him- then practically molested him with her hug. She even got teary eyed telling me how lucky I was. Then my father in law was practically licking his lips eyeing me up and down-- telling me how good I looked. His sister was drunk and kept repeating how much my son looked like me. I met my brother in law's GF and I liked her-- she's 'normal' and we both commiserated about what we've gotten ourselves into. I hope she doesn't run for the hills-- I need another normal person to relate to in that family.

Qotd- last move I saw in a theater was likely Alvin and the chipmunks. I don't get to movies often as you can see.

That sounds like a very awkward evening for sure.

I do exercise on vacation. Don't always to my normal routine but if staying in a hotel I usually use the fitness room or pool.

I exercise every day whether at home,on vacation or camping. I want to keep that part of my routine just that--routine. I don't want to allow myself leeway because I know how hard it is to get back to when you get out of the habit.

Good morning, It's cloudy here in MA today, but still kind of muggy.  We actually are running the AC because it was just too muggy.   I need to run a couple of errands later today, but first I need to get my meat sauce going so we can have that with sausage and zoodles for dinner tonight and I'll freeze the rest for another day.

QOTD:  I don't remember what the last movie  I saw at  the theater was.  I know I have been in the last year, but I'm drawing a blank right now.  I was supposed to go see "Ghostbusters" the other night, but just wasn't up for it.  I do want to see "Bad Moms", it looks hilarious.
