What's On Your Monday Menu, RNYers?
Good Morning fellow RNYers! Monday means back in the work week saddle, amirite? Does anyone have Veterans Day off this week? My husband (who actually is a veteran) and my son are off but I have to work. Boo!
How did everyone do this weekend? I had a house full of kids for most of it and I am friggin exhausted. Their Dads were all out in the woods helping Matt with the Great Tree Removal of 2015 so I was stuck with between three and five 10 year old boys for the majority of the weekend. Fun times. I swear, I am owed a spa weekend for putting up with that. I also made my third pumpkin pie of the season. LOL

AV, your weekend is my definition of HELL. I can deal with several little girls at once but my patience goes out the window with little boys. No clue why, maybe I should try to get to the bottom of that... My weekend was short but good. I ate horribly but I'm back on the horse. My new bike comes today so I am super thrilled. I will post a pic tomorrow.

Funny, I'm the opposite. Give me a room full of boys over girls, any day. Boys (general stereotyping, here...) are a little rougher around the edges and more high energy, but they don't hold grudges!
Morning! My weekend was ok. I had a trip to the ER on Sunday night. Had ongoing stomach pain from Saturday night. Blood work and CT scan came back normal. Docs wrote it off to menstrual cramps-- I don't buy that [I know my body!]. I think my sensitivity to sugar is changing (pain was at its worst after eating a yogurt with higher then recommended sugar content.) I'm glad I went cause the peace of mind to hear it all looks good was priceless.
My bigger news is I registered to do a 5K Thanksgiving morning. My son said he'd do it with me. I kind of wish he didn't, cause he has asthma and I think he'll need to rest/walk at times, and I wanted to try and go straight through jogging. But I'm happy for the company/support. I welcome any tips!

Hey AV, I can totally feel your pain with the boys. I have two, and I've always been outnumbered. The worst for me is when my husband and father in law get together with a whole bunch of the "boys" to play a rousing 8 hour game of Axis and Allies at my house. It's a very long board game that recreates WWII and it literally takes ALL DAY LONG. I try to make myself scarce, but it's just a pain.
I had a super busy weekend, shopping and housework on Saturday, and then to visit my mom for the afternoon. Sunday I helped to host my sis-in-laws baby shower. It was a really nice day, but it was long and exhausting. I stepped out of line a bit with the food, but overall I think I was okay. I had a bite of mac and cheese, and a small bite of some strawberry cream cheese cookie concoction that was there. Mostly I ate very lightly, and overall I didn't do too bad.
Here's my food for today:

I'm a little light on the protein so I will likely add a yogurt later if I can. maybe half of a protein shake.
Oh my, what a chaotic morning. Once again, I will have to come back later and read through the thread. Hope you all have a great one!!.
