A Milestone of Sorts...

The kid grudgingly acknowledged today that I'll be having the surgery, although still expressing distaste for it.

Believe it or not, that acknowledgement is a good sign. She's been bull-headed and stubborn since before she was born nearly 33 years ago (she was exactly two weeks late -- didn't want to leave that nice, warm, dark womb, I guess. LOL)
