What's On Your Thursday Menu, RNYers?
Happy Friday Eve, all! So, I put on my awesome tan riding boots for this first time since last winter and I think it's safe to say I no longer need a wide calf boot. They look borderline ridiculous, but I don't care. LOL That just means more shopping for me, tra la la!
Who's got two thumbs and is going to Starbucks today for BOGO holiday drinks? This girl!! I'll take two tall skinny peppermint mochas, no whip, please. Anyone else taking advantage these next few days? I'm actually leaving work early today to go because it's only from 2-5. Well, I'm leaving early for bux and to tackle Mt. Laundry. That's sad, right? That I'm so behind on the washing that I need to take time off from work to try and get on top of it. LOL
Time since surgery: Just under 16 months
B: coffee, the last of the applesauce baked oatmeal and a TB of peanut butter
S: turkey pepperoni with a LC wedge and my last three 34 degree crackers. LOL
L: Buffalo chicken salad and a cheese stick
D: Baked cod and a side TBD
TOTALS (so far): Cals: 746 Protein: 82 Carbs: 44 Fat: 29
Have a great Thursday!

Hi everyone, remember how I said yesterday was gonna suck? It did. After my terrible adventures in babysitting, I got a call that my dad had a massive stroke. When I got to the hospital he did not recognize me or my mom. Eventually he did, but he failed the test to identify simple pictures. He's going to have along road to recovery.
He's a cautionary tale, folks. Not an overweight guy at all (actually quite thin!) but has ignored his type 2 diabetes for too many years. Looking good on the outside is not a replacement for taking care of your insides!
B: a whole lot of coffee and an egg
S: protein shake
L: blueberry thin addictives, Gouda cheese and sliced turkey
D: grilled chicken, melted cheese, salsa and Greek yogurt
Exercise
Just not sure what today will bring, but I've already done 20 mins on the elliptical this morning and will, at minimum, take a long walk around the grounds of the hospital today.
p.s. For just a teeny bit of good news--my weigh loss stall is broken and I've lost 4lbs in a week. Which is bananas when I've got under 20lbs to go. Thanks, body!
My step father had a stroke at 40 and was completely paralyzed on his right side. It took some time but he was able to rehab almost completely back to normal over the course of 3 years. it's almost 30 years later and he's still going strong and working part time (he's retired).
I wish your father a complete and speedy recovery.
