Stalled weight loss for more than a week!

Relax, as all it will come.  Remember the norm is 2.2 pounds per week. If you are eating too little calories, your body will fight you for it and your metabolism will slow down... a lot. I had this in the first few month post op... I added 1-2 teaspoon of food and things started back for me dropping lbs. I keep a food log and watch everything I put in my mouth. I got slow downs, mini stalls, but no regains YTD. The simple carbs: I kept away from for over two years solid and only add a few for maintaining my weight loss and not to loose anymore weight, as per Bariatric doctor. WLS does not give you a linear weight loss of big losses all the time. The closer you get to goal the slower it goes.

My stall ended yesterday!!!!!! I didn't really change anything, but I guess somehow my body was like "oh right, you're eating 300-400 calories a day and burning like 3,000 - it doesn't mathematically make sense for me to not lose weight!" and it's really really encouraging to finally see some loss, even as fractions of a pound. I'm thinking maybe the added exercise did it? I could feel my body sort of getting back on track. Hard to explain.

Here's to another few pounds before my month post-op weigh in on Thursday!!

Salmygal, I also had surgery on 10/26.  I had RNY revision from vertical sleeve gastrectomy.  I lost 10.5 pounds the first week and have lost ZERO since then.  It's very frustrating but I'm also not taking in protein and I'm not exercising due to extreme lower right abdominal pain.  I'm going to be taking in protein powder soon.  I've ordered some unflavored in hopes that I'll be able to tolerate it.  Nothing else protein wise wants to go down or stay down.

I had surgery 10/19 and I have been in the stall for over a week as well! I am stuck between 203 and 206 and HAVE NOT BUDGE. I have ready everything about this and thought I was prepared but I WASNT! It is so very frustraiting! This is the same place id always stall and give up when dieting. Giving up is not an option though! I am sticking to my plan and trying as hard as I can to get in all my water. I go to the gym at least every other day and am 100% in my normal swing! However, I have noticed my clothes getting smaller and im back down to a 16 comfortably in jeans. Hopefully we both snap out of this soon! It driving me bonkers. I have my 1 month post op later on the 23rd. I am not going to weigh in until then...Want to make the pack with me??? No weighing on scale until 1 month post op!!

xoxox hang in there

Yes! Same! In fact, I GAINED a pound this morning. Like, I've measured and my waist has lost 1/2 an inch and my boobs are definitely smaller, but no actual weight loss pound-wise... I guess I'm happy for now that I'm down from 264 morning of surgery to 251, but still... Hang in there, both of us!!
