Donating blood

I have ALWAYS been a blood donor, since I was 18.  I was told by my surgeon's office that I can only give ONCE  year, and only if I am not anemic or having problems along those lines.

Thanks so much to those who donate blood or platelets!!! My son received both multiple times a week for over a year. The generous donations from others kept him alive long enough for us to find a bone marrow donor and go through the transplant process.
