Cauliflower Crumbles

REVIEW: A product called Green Giant Cauliflower Crumbles make for easy-n-fast mashed cauliflower. It sells in a 16-ounce steam-able bag for $2.99 with directions and recipes on the back. For those who own a Nutribullet, the entire contents of the cooled-down, steamed cauliflower will fit in the tall cup to blend an end product of about 2 cups mashed cauliflower. Cauliflower Crumbles will make my grocery list often.

Mmmm mashed cauliflower with cheese was an early veggie fav. Though it's easy enough to make... it is waaaay more convenient and no food processor to clean. If you have a Trader Joe's near you they have a similar product it's frozen http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2015/06/new-p roduct-alert-trader-joes-organic.html same idea though cooked in a pan in about 8-10 minutes for cauliflower "fried rice", etc.

I want these so badly but my TJ doesn't carry them. :(

I went to Eggface's photo of the TJ's version of crumbles and her recipe for fried cauliflower...the picture resembles what I purchased. What could be better than mashed cauliflower? Answer: fried cauliflower.

Mine keeps selling out fast... I went to the service desk and asked them to hold 4 bags for me. I picked them up a few days later (they called) and they were bagged and labeled with my name. Try that.

I made cauliflower 'fried rice' with chicken that other day and it wound up being delish.  

I have searched for them and have not been able to find them........Where are you buying them from??

...purchased in the bagged lettuce/fresh vegetable grocery section at a Target store located in Minnesota. Edited to update: also found them at Walmart in their bagged, fresh vegetable section for $2.97. The Walmart employee said the bags fly off the shelf as fast as she can restock.

Very cool! I'll have to look out for these. I've been ricing my own cauliflower recently, and this would be nice to save a little time.
