Spacing of vitamins
I cant find my paper about when you take your vitamins and calcium. My nut is not helpful at all.
Can someone remind me? I know there has to be time between them but I cant remember how much.
I also take a daily antacid if that affects the timing.
Thanks!
You need 500mg of calcium, three times a day, two hours apart. Your calcium and your iron has to be two hours apart. You can take your multivitamins at the same time as your calcium, unless your multi has iron in it that you hope to absorb. You can take extra B12 or D3 anytime.

I was provided with a 3" x 4" laminated card listing all the supplement requirements details and a timeline when they should be taken. It's perfect to keep in either a purse/wallet, handy to whip out while standing in the vitamin isle at a store, and light enough to pin up at home for reference. Here is how my card reads:

After having this laminated supplement card for almost three years, I didn't realize until I typed it out, the calcium citrate instructions appear incorrect. They list to take calcium citrate twice per day yet it states 1200-1500 mg which would mean three per day instead of two. I will notify the WLS clinic they may need to update these laminated cards they pass out if there is mistake like it appears. Edited to let you know the clinic's response via email was: taking two, 600 mg tablets would suffice the 1200 daily requirement. To which I thought to myself, I've shopped for calcium citrate and see them in common doses of either 250 mg or 500 mg. Apparently, there's a 600 mg out there? YMMV.
The huge, horse size citrical are 600. The citrical "petites" are 200 each. Many people find theetites awfully big. I don't know anyone who takes the 600s. It may be more than you will absorb from one pill, as well. I chose to stick with 500s three times a day.
