Hi all!

It sounds like everyone has cute Halloween costumes! I just ordered one on amazon - you all know I love me a jumpsuit so this is right up my alley ha ha! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BTPPVNG?psc=1&redirect=t rue&ref_=od_aui_detailpages00

I had a good weekend - I walked 20,000 steps on Saturday. I am 10 days post-op from my arm lift, and feeling good. The compression sleeves are a little annoying and dig into my armpit, but oh well, only 3 more weeks of these. The scars are looking better and better. Fingers crossed that they are hardly noticeable in a few months. Well a girl can dream!

Time Since Surgery: 22.5 months

B: Coffee with half and half, and hardly any groceries on hand so I made a giant batch of tuna with light mayo and diced onions to eat for like 5 meals over the next few days lol

L: Tuna, and cucumber salad

D: Curry soup with chicken, and shirataki noodles (this restaurant serves these no carb soy noodles for $2 more which is awesome!)

E: I went to the gym and did an easy 20 minutes on the Arc Trainer (without my arms) and since I walked there and back, I am at 11,000 steps already. Woohoo!

Have a great day, all!

Good morning everyone. I had a good weekend. I ran the Los Angeles Rock n Roll half marathon with a friend of mine. The weather was perfect and it was a great run. I finished in 2:20 which is 20 minutes faster than my last half marathon time, so I was excited. The race course had three hills, all coming after mile 8. The worst part of the whole thing was the hill that went from mile 11-12.5. Who puts a mile long hill at the end of the course??? The best part of the day (other than finishing with a good time and on my feet???) My surgeon knows I run, so I sent him an email after the race to let him know how it came out. At the end of the email I told him that he shouldn't judge me but I was off to eat a blueberry pancake. He replied that I should enjoy my pancake since I earned it. The thought of surgeon approved pancakes was funny to me. We got an order for the table, and while they were DELICOIUS, I stuck pretty much to a post run meal of eggs, ham, cheddar and spinach which was equally delicious. I guess I'm a true convert now, that even with approval, I'm happier with my protein meal! I'm still trying to eat back some of my calories from yesterday, so my menu today is up in the air a bit:

B: Ground turkey, spinach and mozzarella

S: Somersaults and a pear

L: Chicken breast (I forgot the veggie that was supposed to go along with this)

S: Light and Fit and Peanut butter

D: Skirt steak and a tomato, cucumber, avocado and feta salad

S: outshine bar

Totals: Cal. 1,084; Protein: 107g; Fat: 48g; Carbs: 62g

This is short so I'm sure I'll be adding in more food or a shake along the way

All you runners are amazing!!! I am so envious of your will power. But I guess Im just happy getting in my daily steps for now.... maybe now that I am in a more "fit" state of body I can get my mind wrapped around taking that next step...

Anyways...Im actually dressing up for Halloween this year also. First time in ages...again I think it has a lot to do with my confidence level now that im feeling better about myself, I don't mind drawing attn...wear as before...not so much. I am making a popcorn box costume...similar to the one at this link /Popcorn-Costume/ Although I certainly won't be as cute as this five year old, I think I can pull it off, and my girlfriend who made them before just used red & white duct tape for the stripes and a med shipping box all from lowes for about $20. Can't beat that for an original idea...well sorta...Ill post a pic once its done...

Ill be wearing it to work, an adult costume party and trick or treating with my son. Should be a fun weekend!

B-Protein Pumpkin Mocha Coffee

s-String cheese

L- 2 oz chkn sal & 1 oz orzo salad

S2-LC wedge & thin addictives

D chicken something

Good choices all!

Good afternoon I have been running around like a nut today. I feel like I got nothing done. I did have a big NSV this weekend. I was able to go to a party and only have one cookie. I planned it, I didn't get into anything else so I was happy about that.

B:Eggs with ham

L:Cheese with some olives

D:Chili

S:Cheese stick

Water is in vitamins are going down. So it was a good day so far.

Have a great night
