Airport Security

At JFK JetBlue terminal. When I went through the Airport security my excess skin came up on the scan as a shaded area. They made me go through twice kept saying 'Do you have some thing in your pocket?' Got a quick pat down and then on my way. LOL... Yeah that thing in my pocket would be my excess skin.

At least you have a good sense of humor about it. I'd be suuuuuper shady!!

I had that happen once as well - I thought it was the staples in my stomach, but maybe it was excess skin!

I thought I wasn't going to dread airports anymore with their compact seats and belts I'd pretend were fastened. Your story kinda has me dreading them all over again; when will it ever end. A good problem to have and glad you could laugh about it.

Ouch... Maybe you can list as a reason to have plastics paid by insurance? Stress factor..

This wasn't the metal detector type walk throughs it was the scan where you put your arms over your head like you are doing a jumping jack. When I looked at the screen it was shaded over my lower abdomin and some where my batwings are.

.i've had the metal detector ones go off because of an underwire bra.

so funny - I'm glad you wrote this as I had no idea the excess skin might cause this. No wonder she looked at me kind of weird when I she asked what I had under my clothes and I told her that it was probably surgical staples. Next time I'll know!
