LOVE My Torani Syrups - Protein Drinks Can Be A Yummy Treat!
I've seen several posts and mentions on how a lot of us are dreading or hating our daily protein drinks. Not me! I mean... they could be a chore - I've tried many of them and some are just plain yuck-o.
But no matter what type you're buying, try spicing them up with sugar free syrups and a couple ounces of unsweetened cashew or almond or soy milk! (Ohmigoodness... I sound like a cheesy TV commercial.)
I started out using Walden Farms sugar free syrups from Sprouts... they come in chocolate, caramel and strawberry. They are thick and yummy, but the lack of flavors got boring after awhile.
Then someone here mentioned Torani Syrups here and I went shopping for them that day. Since then - I'm totally hooked!
I bought my first 3 flavors online for $7.49 each PLUS shipping and handling. Pretty expensive, but it was a good test. I got:
- Peanut Butter (my all time fav)
- Peach
- Hazelnut
And I loved them all. Then I found more flavors at the Smart & Final store - and if you buy 6 or more they're only $4.49 (a real deal!). They don't have ALL the sugar free flavors there. But I added:
- Irish Cream
- Salted Caramel
- White Chocolate Macadamia Nut
- Watermelon
- English Toffee
- Almond Rocha
Today I wanted some new Fall flavors to add to my collection, so I ordered online again (couldn't find any of these flavors at the stores I go to):
- Belgian Cookie
- Black Cherry
- Brown Sugar Cinnamon
- Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
- Gingerbread
- Pumpkin Pie
- S'Mores
Some of the flavors are on sale this month, and if you spend more then $59, you get free S&H, which, because they're heavy and expensive to ship, is totally worth it.
Any-who... with all these flavors, plus all the different flavors of protein drinks, plus a nice selection of Extracts, like:
- Raspberry
- Orange
- Maple
- Vanilla
- Almond
- Peppermint
- Pumpkin Spice
... Well, there are literally hundreds of thousands of flavors you can create!
Today, I'm having a chocolate Premier Protein shake with 4 ounces cashew milk, 2 shots of Salted Caramel Torani syrup and 2 drops of Pumpkin Spice extract. Talk about YUM!
Yesterday I had a Strawberry Premier Shake with cashew milk, 2 shots of Watermelon Torani Syrup and a dash of Orange Extract - it was like a tropical sensation!
Anyway, with all the additives, it fills a 16 ounce tumbler and I sip on it all morning for breakfast and it keeps the hunger away until lunch. And with 30 grams of protein to boot!
If you try it, I'd love to hear some of your concoctions.
Wow huge selection.... Do you buy off Torani website? I use Netrition.com.. Or buy locally at Homegoods/Marshalls but flavors are limited.
One of my favorite recipes is to cook up a sliced apple in a frypan then 'glaze' it with salted caramel.....so good. Yummmm

Ooooh! I'll totally try that - sounds delicious! And great for the cool winter nights ahead. Thanks!
Oh, and the last set of flavors I listed I ordered from www.torani.com. But the others I can get cheaper at Smart & Final. They just don't have the full selections of the sugar free flavors there, so I'm willing to spend a little more to broaden my collection.
If you have a World Market they carry some of the more unique flavors. I love brown sugar, hated smore
Thanks to you, I dug through the cupboards to find Pumpkin Spice and Peppermint sf syrups purchased on Holiday clearance at Target last year. Today, was the first snowfall; it spurred heating a mug of Fairlife brand whole milk, chocolate protein powder, and a splash of Pumpkin spice sf syrup. Cheers to everyones' concoctions...stay warm this winter.
