Calcium Chews
Hello, I have never tried Calcium chews, and I would like to try them.
I found Bariatric Advantage and Kirkland and Calcet brands, Viactiv , I am pretty sure Viactiv is not the correct Calcium........which do you use if any?
Also I see some are sugar free.
Thank you in advance

Just check the ingredient list and make sure you're getting ones with calcium citrate, not calcium carbonate. I love the Celebrate ones, but I plan to switch to the regular ol' pill variety when I run out because the sorbitol and xylitol in them cause me some GI distress.
Bariatric Advantage chewable are disgusting. Bariatric Advantage and Celebrate chewy bites are good but expensive. Celebrate chewable are my favorite because they taste good but are less expensive than chewy bites. Plus they also have fewer carbs and calories than the chewy bites. The calories and carbs in those chewy bites can really add up.

Bariatric Advantages has two types of chewable calcium citrate I have tried. Is there any chance you are talking about the BA calcium citrate lozenges being disgusting? That I could understand because they are unwrapped, big, chalky, and sour. The BA individually-wrapped calcium citrate chews, caramel flavor, are a favorite with fellow support group members and me. Because they are pricey, I rotate them with pills.

I love my Celebrate calcium -- I used to use their calcium chews (they are delicious!) but they are too pricey, I have to take too many of them, and I like them a bit too much. I now use their Calcium 500 Plus chewables in cherry. They sort of remind me of big sweet tarts. It only takes three a day to get 1500 mg.
I have never found any of the chews/chewables available in the store that are the correct kind of calcium: calcium citrate. They are always either calcium carbonate or a mixture of carbonate/citrate. Carbonate is worthless to us, so I never buy them. There are Citrate petites that are the correct calcium -- and they are a cheaper option. I, however, find that I consider my calcium chewable a treat and therefore feel they are worth it as it helps keep my very compliant.

You are entirely correct about everything, except for the cherry flavor. Orange is better.

Every one has a right to be wrong about something. This appears to be your opportunity...
