Sorry to hear about the need for the boot but hope everything heals quickly so you can get back to the water.

I hope everyone's day picks up. While nothing specific happened today, there must be some sort of uuuggghh inducing chemical in the air, because I woke up feeling blah. I'm not sick, work is just as stressful as always, so no surprises there, so I don't know what is causing it. I even took my vitamins this morning.

I've been really stepping up my water intake. I had been struggling, but I now am able to kinda chug a few ounces, and that's helping me stay hydrated. This past Sunday I gave my hubby the day off and I mowed the lawn for him. I thought it would be a nice workout, but it was a little harder than I thought it would be. There are these stupid moles living in my yard, and they have torn my grass up like you wouldn't believe. So the self propelled mower kept gettint stuck on the runnels that are zigzagging across the yard. My palms hurt from pushing the mover over them. But overall, it felt good to get out and expend some energy. I may do it again the next time it needs it.

Anyway, here's my food for the day:

B: Oikos Strawberry Triple Zero Yogurt

S: Mild Giardiniera

L: Refried black beans and cheese

S: pure protein bar

D: Shrimp sauteed with garlic and zucchini noodles (yum, yum, yum)

possible evening snack is a small handful of homemade roasted pumpkin seeds

Totals: Cal 749 Protein 77 carbs 65 sugars 15 fat 23

I think I'm going to pick up some ricotta cheese this week and try out that blueberry ricotta bake I've been hearing so much about.

Another blueberry ricotta bake fan in the making?!?! I just made more this past weekend-I am so glad it freezes well :) I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

I'll pay my review. I'm going to see if I can get the hubby hooked on it too. He's looking for healthy tastings as well.

AV, I think you may be onto something about Tuesdays. I was late into work because I had an early morning conference call I took from home, and then I had to swing by my clinic for my monthly B12 shot and weigh in. When I got to work someone has parked in my spot. Grrrr. This is the second time this has happened in the past week. I have security trying to find the offender. Apparently he/she has been squatting in reserved parking spaces all over the lot. Not a super big deal if you compare it to...say...famine, but one of those irritants that can really set me off!

My business trip to San Diego was good, but way too long. I am happy to be home and back on an eating schedule that I can control. I was also trapped in the hotel all week. I finally busted out on Thursday afternoon and took a nice, long 3+ mile walk. It felt so good to stretch everything out, and to be out of the over air conditioned hotel. Why do they do that? This trip will go down as the one I almost froze to death on.

AV what a crazy morning you had! I am thinking you got all of your bad luck out of the way this morning so the rest of the week has to go smoothly!

I haven't been consistent with my posting and it is having an effect. I need to come back and post every day, no matter what time I find time to do it and stick to my menu. Thanks for keeping this thread going!
