You know what's funny, I used to go to the support group that met at 12pm, because it met across the street from my office, and it was always sparsely attended and a waste of time. Last night was the first time I went to an evening one, and it had 35 very active participants.

As for the bark--yep, just break off the piece you want to eat and put the rest back in the freezer.

I wanna talk about the pork chop . . . have you tried it before? I love all things pumpkin and that sounds really interesting. Is it fabulous?

Yes! Used to make the "real" recipe pre-op that includes applesauce and packed brown sugar, but last night I tried it for the first time with just the spice rub. I didn't follow any kind of recipe or ratios--I just kept piling on things from the spice rack. Mostly Pumpkin Pie spice (mcCormack) but also a little dried mustard and powdered onion. Can't remember if I added more. It was great. I bet you could add sugar free maple syrup to mimic the sweetness, but I liked it as is.

Let me know how you make yours :)

Good morning! I'm going to try the shopping thing this weekend. Even though it's going to be 100+ degrees this weekend, I'm assuming it's going to get cooler at some point and I don't have a single top with long sleeves or a coat. I decided I should start looking sooner rather than later or I risk freezing my butt off when the weather finally decides to change. And Kristen, I employ that logic ALL THE TIME. It seems to hurt less when you spread the money over more than 1 receipt!!

B: Turkey, spinach and mozzarella

S: deli meat and somersaults

L: Chicken and Broccoli

S: Light and Fit (still haven't picked up any of the fall flavors so I think I have a strawberry with me) and Peanut Butter

D: Shrimp and ceasar salad

S: ???

Totals: Cal. 1178; Protein: 99g; Fat: 53g (high because I'm cooking the shrimp in olive oil); Carbs: 46g

These totals will be higher since I'm missing a snack and it's a workout day.

Have a great day everyone!

Do you use real PB in it? Have you tried mixing in PB2? Not that your calories are too high or anything, but if you were looking to cut out some calories but keep the taste and protein - PB2 mixed in strawberry or banana yogurt is AMAZING!

I alternate between PB2 and regular peanut butter. On heavy workout days I stick with the peanut butter. I find that the fat in the butter gives me sustained energy. On non-workout days I'm a PB2 girl!

Congratulations on the size 8s AV and yes I am still alive and well. Hubby retired last week and I have been busier than when he was working. Post op 3 years 3 weeks and weight at 119.4 today. 3.2 miles at the park with Lily and 25 minutes on the bike done too. Exercise is a bit of a challenge with hubby home but getting it done anyway. So proud of my youngest who has lost over 20 pounds since starting his very active job as a horticulture technician at Smith GilbertGardens in Kennesaw Georgia! Better health for both of us! On track with vitamins and fluids and here's the eats: B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein powder and grapes L 1 turkey sausage with salsa and tomato slices(last batch from the garden) D 31/2 oz pork cutlet and 1/2 c roasted Brussels sprouts S Greek yogurt with nuts. Hope all are having a great day full of amazing choices!
