What's On Your Monday Menu, RNYers?
I get why he is saying it, I guess. But for YEARS he has talked about how because he is so much older then me that I NEED to he healthy and around for our boys....I need to get healthy etc etc etc I am doing it....now its like WHOA WHOA WHOA....i said healthy not skinny! HAHA
I am 38 lbs away from the goal weight I set, which at the time I never thought possible I would get there. But now that I am closer, I think I want to get down lower (in case of bounce back). I mean not a ton lower, but I want a little wiggle room.....I am 5'6" and picked 150 for a goal, which I think it right now the top of the healthy BMI range.
Husbands can be clueless! Mine is heavier and his whole family struggles with weight so he kind of gets it but he told me before surgery that he thought it was "drastic" and "unnecessary". He hasn't told me I'm getting too thin but he does half roll his eyes anytime I mention I lost a lb. or am in a new size...
My husband was really against me having the surgery when I first talked about it with him. Then over the months realized I was doing it, and he got on board after going to my surgeons office for a class with me. He is a big one for only seeing the HORRIBLE stories....and never seeing past those to the great success stories!
You know....John at work's niece had the surgery and is depressed about not being able to eat certain foods and blah blah blah....UGH Ok honey....I could CARE LESS about what so and so's whoever ...that sound horrible ...BUT....from what it sounds like she needs to go get professional help and work through her eating and head "issues".
Good morning,
It sure is chilly, wearing gloves on these cold mornings as well as my new fall jacket. Finally got all my new pants picked up from my sil so no more capris except for my jeans. I did buy a pair of jeans finally from old Navy but they have to be hemmed UGH! I will freeze at daughter's field hockey game later.

And lucky you on the gift cards! I saw yesterday that a Nordstrom Rack is opening up at Destiny at the end of the month. *squeee!*
Went to Nordstom Rack for the first time about a month ago.
Shoe Nirvana for a size 12 girl who has to order 99% of her shoes off the Internet. A rack with about 100 pairs size 12? Doing the happy dance. And stylish... Woop Woop!!
Been there twice now.

I'm on the opposite end...I wear a size 4 shoe! I just wear kids sizes when it comes to sneakers and Uggs, but it it almost impossible to find a decent pair of flats that don't have a light-up flower stitched onto it (haha, really), and it's even harder to find a pair of heels, of course. So when I went into Nordstrom's for the first time a few years ago, I literally spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars. I'd never seen such a collection of shoes in my size! Unbelievable!
Don't you love it???!! I was hoping my feet would get smaller with losing the weight...so many people report going down shoe sizes...mine didn't. They are smaller width wise and my instep but not length. Oh well. People never think my feet are that big, but I am 5'11". I always say if I had small feet, I would be like a Weeble-Wooble...LOL.
