suggestions please
I am also 5'0 and in the beginning it did scare me that my face would look so skinny and that I would look sickly, but after a few months I noticed that my face started to "fill" back out at 140 lbs. I think keeping moisturized helped too. I really like the Oil of Olay moisturizers or the Neutrogena. I am 36 and still deal with a oily T-zone, but find the one that suites you best! Good luck!
We always lose weight distally and put it on proximally. What that means is you will always lose weight from your extremities first and eventually will lose toward the middle. You put it on the exact opposite: you'll notice pants getting tighter before rings start getting tight or you see your face getting fatter.
So relax - your face may look a little gaunt at first but after your first year of maintenance everything that is left kind of shifts around (I didn't believe it but it's TRUE!) and it all evens out. I'm at the same weight I was when I hit maintenance but I definitely don't look as thin in the face or upper body as I did a year ago.
My suggestion is get a good moisturizer,
...like the'" olay, the generic works ...massage your facial muscles, UP....when you apply it , and be sure to nourish the wrinkel areas well....
drink plenty of water so you don't dehydrate, (dehydration enhances the wrincles).
. My Mom had lost 169 lbs before she became ill, and this is what she said worked better than anything...... I had lost 135 lbs, but regained a little from changes in lifestyle.so I am currently at 112 lbs...lost..and have been stable or back in slow lost. Our surgeries were 20 years ago... You can do this. Don't be worried, next you will begin to see your knees and collar bones..
Just make wise choices and take advantage of the relatively easy weight loss, for it will not always be so. the first 12-18 months are easiest, be sure to get into some type of regular exercise..
. Wear a girdle to hold in the loose skin, it will help your body to re-tone it'self...won't do it all, but it definitely does assist.Just make sure the girdle is not too tight across your upper abdomen, that can interfere with your gastic emptying and intestinal flow.
When I had lost about 90 lbs, My then 13 year old daughter, said... Mom you need to got to the Doctor, you have a lump. I said where, and she pushed on my collarbone...she'd never seen it before...:>)DH
