So inspirational for us newbies. I will take all your advice to heart. I have not allowed myself any substitutions either, not yet - I am worried that they would be a gateway drug! LOL It sounds like this is how you've maintained your healthy eating habits and I am encouraged I am on the right track, there. I will stay the course.

Congratulations! As someone who is only two weeks post-op, it's inspiring to read stories like yours. I also appreciate you sharing what's helped you stay on/near your target weight. I, too, have learned that I don't do well in moderation. Eliminating some foods entirely is the only thing that works well for me as well. While part of me sometimes feels sad that I may never eat XXX again, I just have to focus on all that I've gained from giving those foods up.
In any case, thanks for sharing your story and pics!
