Happy Hump Day!  It's chilly and rainy here in CNY.  You guys, I'm wearing socks today for the first time since like May.  I believe my long national nightmare of shaving my legs every damn day is over.  Huzzah!  I'm also wearing some kickass black shooties; my co-worker says they're my "big girl shoes".  LMAO  I guess months of wearing flat sandals has not escaped notice.  And I have to say, I'm pretty excited for a new season of clothing options.  This time last year I was 100 lbs heavier and had not yet even started buying any clothes.  At this point I think I've developed a certain sense of style and know what I like.  Now, it's time to shop.    I fear for the safety of my Macys card.

Question of the Day!  Is there a particular fall/winter clothing item that you're eyeing or looking forward to treating yourself with?  As for me, I'm looking at shoes, people.

Time since surgery:  14 1/2 months

B:  Coffee, black bean burger, slice of Sargento Ultra Thin cheddar and a HB egg

S:  Half of a chocolate peanut butter Premier Protein bar. This may be a mistake.

L:  Buffalo chicken salad, celery sticks and a Cabot cheese snack.  This week's batch of chicken salad is so good; I poached my own chicken breast and made my own ranch seasoning.  Yummy.

D:  I honestly have no idea.

TOTALS:  (w/o dinner)  Cals:  616  Protein:  67  Carbs:  37  Fat:  26

Have a great day!

I love sweater weather so I'm treating myself to some new ones.

On top of my weight loss and increased exercise the last three weeks, my heart medications were decreased again! WOOHOO!! I'm almost completely off. After the original diagnosis of post partum cardiomyopathy my cardiologist said I may be on these forever. Now I'm on lowest dose of everything and they are looking at stopping completely if my bp keeps dropping. This is seriously one of the best things I have done fore myself and I wish I had done it sooner!!

B-mini sausage biscuit

S-mixed fruit cup about 1/2 cup

L-chicken salad

S-jello temptation lemon

D-seafood lasagna---it turns out more like seafood slop since I don't do noodles but still tastes good.

Good morning all! So I read your post and was like - WTF is a shootie? I thought those things were called booties? What's the difference? No matter, WAAAAAAANT!

I'm looking forward to boots and leggings and sweaters. I don't care if people say leggings are not pants - they are! they are! they are! I mean, I don't wear them to work or anything, but they are casual pants for sure!

Last fall I was like 50 pounds heavier, so I basically have almost no fall appropriate clothing and I'm super excited to get shopping, damnit! I'm actually wearing a dress today that I DID wear last year, but I've got a super cute belt on with it and it's working pretty well - though of course much looser this year than last.

Time since surgery: 18 months

B: coffee with SF/FF creamer, egg muffins

S: deli ham and Babybel and more coffee

L: chicken salad (with curry powder mixed in today) and string cheese

S: L&F yogurt with sliced almonds

D: TJ's chicken sausage with reduced sugar ketchup

S: Omega Trek Mix, Chobani tube

TOTALS: Calories 1176, Protein 107, Carbs 57, Fat 59

V/W: started

E: technically it's a rest day but my sister asked me to go to Zumba tonight, so I might do that

Guys! It's amazing to me how easy it is to keep my calories low(er) when I'm putting protein forward in my meals - duh! My brain has just been in a fog for the last two months apparently. How did I forget that crucial thing? Like the NUMBER ONE TICKET TO SUCCESS long term?! I guess I was caught up in being "normal" and things being "easy." Protein forward. Protein forward. Protein forward MUST BE the new normal.
