Food Advice and Common Sense

I'm through TWH as well and every time I have to see one the dieticians I get anxious. It infuriates me!

I have decided to just start adding toast to my journals that she is looking at so that we can avoid an argument. I love every other part of this whole process, the social workers, nurses, surgeons...etc have all been absolutely amazing, yet after the dietician I just want to (and sometimes do) cry.

Keep on doing what's working for you, we have similar nutrition stats, (I'm 7 weeks out) and those numbers are also working for me.

From what you say, your dietician's direction sounds generally consistent with my program.  The 3-6 month meal plan had us transition from untracked calories to roughly 1,000-1,300 calories per day.  My program also includes all of the foods you describe (not in excess, after protein needs are met, etc.)

Keep in mind that weight loss itself may not be the only goal of your program.  They may be trying to get you to eat "normally" too.

Hi Chulbert,

That makes sense. I was thinking that might be the case. But I also think that because of my PCOS/insulin resistance, my body doesn't react to carbs the same way that 'normal' people do. It seems that a lot of obese people are hypersensitive to carbs.
