You guys are all so inspiring to me.

I’m having a blah day.  Weight is hovering again for the last few days, but I’m eating right, so I know it’ll move again.  I’ve been struggling to get my water in, so that could be why I’m stuck again.  With my husband out of town, I feel like everything I do is for the kids.  I don’t have any me time right now, and I don’t like that very much.

Anyway, here is a pic of my family at my sis-in-laws wedding on May 30th.  And then the next one was taken at 6:45am Tuesday morning.  We sent it to my husband who’s in Denmar****il the 26th.

S: turkey snack bites and fat free cream cheese

L:  bean with ham soup and a few 34 degree crackers

S: oikos triple zero vanilla yogurt

D:  baked salmon with one tiny red potato and asparagus

Have a great day all!

Notice how the baby barley fits on my knee in this pic?  I can now put my legs together and bouncy him for "riding on a pony".  Weight-loss surgery makes me a better mother.

My goodness, where has your chin gone, too!  There must be a place where all these chins are going... I would love to know!

By the way, I am assuming that the handsome young man behind you is your son... and he looks like he has lost weight, too!

Great job!  Oh, and I LOVE your hubby's beard!

He is my son,  he just turned 16.  His weight had fluctuated up and down his entire life.  This change for me has  opened up a dialog about health and fitness.  It's sometimes hard to talk about it with him since I don't  want to make him feel bad or give him a complex about his weight.  But this had been a positive change for everyone for sure.

Please don't think I was implying that your son needed to lose weight! My son was kinda built like your son at his age.  My son was always bigger... not fat but just big legs and big like a linebacker build... but was always very athletic! He is now 30 and is in such good physical shape... he has always eaten healthy, but personally sometimes I think he is a little body obsessed. I think that stems from having obese parents and not wanting to be fat!  Not a bad thing!

Your journey will have a strong impact on him.  He will develop healthier habits by watching you!

Oh, don't worry I wasn't offended.  he does need to lose weight.  I don't know his BMI, but I would consider him obese right now.  I don't want to ask him to get on the scale, because I don't want to body shame him, but I believe he weighs more than I do now.  I am extremely worried about his long term health, but like I said I don't want to pu**** and scar him emotionally. He played football in 8th grade and dropped a ton of weight that year.  Unfortunately, his grades suffered for playing, and he hasn't been willing to let his grades drop to play in high school.  My plan is to get him to the gym with me a few days a week.  It's just time to cut out all the junk for him too, and get his lazy teenage butt off the computer and moving!
