Sorry you are leaving but I bet you come back to read the rest of your thread, even if  you don't respond.  Probably you will just deactivate and get a new user name and come right back; that's happens a lot when newbies get advice they don't want to hear.  Especially caring advice that is actually CORRECT.  And actually I am so sure you'll either delete you post or de-activate that I've come back to edit my own post to include your original statement.  Just in case.  You know, for posterity and all.

You blew  your own argument when you stated you were off liquids on Day 1 but on purees for 8 weeks and the went home and ate cheese crisps. Cheese crisps are most definitely not puree no matter which way you argue.

We really do wish you well - if we didn't there are truly other things we could do with our time after several years out.

I have been using yogurt and cottage cheese basically.  The thought of pureed chicken makes me nausous.  I was thinking of browning some ground beef.  I wonder if I really need to puree it or if I mashed it up after browning I could eat it  I really haven't figured out what else to eat for the protein  I did get some cheese crisps from the boutique at the hospital and they are really tasty and melt in your mouth and one ounce has 7 grams of protein. You get three but I feel like I could keep eating them.   I am trying to be careful.  I did loos 7 lbs and it will be a week tomorrow so that is good.

And there you have it.  Because we all know how rarely this kind of question and rationalization come up. =)

One person called processed food "sh--," that's hardly deplorable language pointed at you.

I'd much rather defend someone who has done lots of research, gives thoughtful advice, and has proven to be succesful post-op than someone who (apparently) only wants to argue and flounces after hearing something they don't like.

Hormone dumping already?  Tsk tsk tsk.

DWeiss, people who have already been down this road are trying to help you.  If you choose to get defensive and angry with what they're telling you, maybe you should wonder what exactly is so incendiary.  I haven't seen anything that justifies your defensive attitude.

If you're leaving, the loss is yours.

I did not read the replies because I'm sure you were given the advice you needed.

I will tell you what worked for me. Food porn. I spent hours looking at food, reading restaurant menus (I even branched out to other countries), and recipes.

It kept me sane when my brain was saying EEEAAATTTTTTTTT!

Just read the replies. What an interesting thread. I don't play the game. I just tell you my truth. I can tell you how I lost 178 pounds and kept it off for 3 years and I can tell you how to gain 100 pounds in 2 years. I  can tell you about the work to lose it again when the magic honeymoon is over.

You had the surgery so the deal is done. Good luck to you.
