What Do You Do With Your Rings As You Lose Weight?
on 9/11/15 8:23 pm
I work in a hospital respiratory department, so I cut a 1/4" piece of oxygen tubing, sliced in lengthwise, and use it as a temporary sizer on my wedding ring (the only one I wear). I'll get it resized when I reach my goal.
my cousin is a jeweler so I had her put a guard on mine. Does the trick for now and it's actually gold so it's not highly visible. I can adjust it with a pinch between morning and mid day because early afternoon my fingers tend to get smaller. They are swelled a bit in the mornings.
Thank you all for your replies!
I'm leaving my wedding and engagement rings alone, which my dh seems fine with. It's just this particular ring that I bought that I'd like to keep wearing (on my hand, not around my neck).
All of your suggestions have been helpful, though I'm afraid the style of ring I have won't really work with most of them. (See image below.) That opening in the band really does cause an issue. I think I'll have to take it to a jeweler and see what they can do.
An errand for next week,
