No appetite when i eat its only bites
Yep, it is like Justice's scales. Give up somethings (i.e. being albe to eat a large quantity of restaurant food in a single sitting) to get other wonderful things (I.e. improved health, looking awesome, cute inexpensive clothes that flatter rather than make one look hideous).

Please expect your future "new normal" to be some of a salad which comprises a lean meat and vegetables on it. Expect to order that salad with dressing on the side because you arent going to be able to fini**** and take it home.
Salad + entree- will soon seem decadent and over-indulgent.
At almost a year post op, I dont dish up my husband or guests anymore when I serve them. I literally have no clue what "normal people" eat anymore.
As for myself, 2 years out, it is 1/2 to 1 cup of food depending on what it is (i.e. is it dietetically correct? Calories? Is it a lean meat? Vegetables with a high water content? Slider?)
I am not meaning to be snarky, mean or anything. But it seems as if your pyschologist and nutritionist did not tell you what to reasonable expect after surgery in terms of eating in volume size (i.e. what volume you should have 3 months, 6 months, a year, two years out).
I would encourage you to call them or make an appointment with them (Mine even does telephonic appoints) or even email them and ask them these "amount"/volume related questions so you can KNOW and have the time to "get used to" what you will be expected to eat.
I am nto a perfect person, and I STILL shope for fresh vegetables like I did when I was 300 lbs. As a result, I frequently have lots of fresh veg go bad and need to be thrown away. This wastes money. So even I can better benefit from "getting an idea" of how much I am really eating.

I had enough years of eating with abandon. Your capacity will increase over time. As others have said, enjoy your new lifestyle.
Most of us ate poorly and way too much before surgery. It is eye opening to realize we do not need to eat like lumberjacks. You will get used to your new portions.
I fight badgers with spoons.
