Hi...congrats on the surgery...I had mine 3 months ago and I swear it was the same for me too.  After I tried to go shopping after 1 week,  I didn't try again for another week.  And i couldn't drive until week 3 but was still not up to a lot.  Just take it slow and be super kind to yourself. If you are scared or worried ask questions.  It felt great to hear I was normal!.  I took a bit l9se than some and felt 100% better by 5 weeks ...then everything  got better and better each day.   Take care..rest welll your doing great for water and protein....don't rush anything else!   Alll the very best! ....Kim

I start at 5:30 am and constantly sip all day long. It's a challenge but I force myself because I hate the feeling of being dehydrated. I am really hoping this gets easier as the time passes.

I hear you, and I'm only 3 days into this situation.  I am cleared for pureed food (per my Doctor/Nutritionist), however find that mostly just want the liquids as I'm thirsty a lot.  I think keeping at it you will feel better soon enough!

I was lethargic and tired for 3 weeks.  I too went to the grocery story one week out and had to sit down, I thought I was going to pass out. I was shocked how tired I was for the first 3 weeks.  I worked from home for the weeks 2 and 3 and took naps every afternoon! Week 4 started to feel significantly better, 5 weeks out and I'm at 100% and feel great (except for my stomach, but that's another story).

Hang in there, I promise it gets better!

I didn't feel like going anywhere one week out. Just doing my walking down the block and back was enough to exhaust me. I will be 5 weeks out tomorrow and I still get drained. I went back to work part time after 2 weeks and now I am full time.  My plan has me focused on doing 45 grams of protein right now. You are doing great. I have been told that once I start incorporating more vitamins I will have more energy.

Totally normal - you're still healing inside and your body needs to use your energy to heal so you'll get tired very easily .  That said kudos to you for walking

Im on 8 days post up and I have mental energy but my body feels tired, drained and feels like its hungry even though I'm not mentally hungry . I can't explain it. I think resting is important and listening to our body . but at the same time I been trying to walk because of blood clots so its hard .
