Upper stomach pain
I'm 3 years post op. I've lost over 100 pounds and have kept it off. I've never had this problem until now, so was wondering if anyone would have any ideas as to why? Also back pain is becoming more prominent.
im wondering since I still have gallbladder if it could be gallstones? My dr office is closed until Tuesday so that is why I'm posting question here.
thank you in advance for all replies.

Adding ultrasound was how they determined gallbladder surgery. My gallbladder was infected, had a stone the size of Mt. Rushmore, and was adhered to my liver. When the doctor asked me how long I was having troubles, I replied, "since last Thursday." He laughed and said it was a lot longer than that. Moral of the story: pitter patter, get atter and figure it out. Good Luck.
Thank you for your replies! I'm going to have to call on Monday to my regular doctor tonight this pain is coming back with a vengeance. I've read where it could be gallbladder or blockage either way the result isn't going to be fun! I know the dr who did my surgery no longer accepts UnitedHealth Care, not sure if the othe Dr in his office still accepts it or not.
Should I see my regular dr or would it be better to find someone else who can do the same?

I went to the ER room yesterday due to severity of pain. Found it is my gallbladder I have gallstones mixed with sludge as they called it. Went today to see the doctor and she confirmed that as well. Unfortunately they don't have any surgery openings until October time frame...mid October at that. Dr Holden said no way we need to do it as soon as possible meaning sooner not later. I still don't have a date yet they said they'd call tomorrow once they have something for me. Insurance has already approved it so I just need to get it done.
Prayers are welcome! :)
Thank you to all *****plied!

I saw that your problem was resolved, which is great. But in case other people are looking on a similar topic, I was recently diagnosed with costochondritis i.e. inflammation of the cartilage around the rib cage, which I didn't even know was a thing, after sharp abdominal pains when engaging the core muscles (already had my gallbladder removed). According to my surgeon, he's had some patients whose attacks were so bad that they ended up in emergency, thinking it was a heart-attack, before it was diagnosed. So, something else of which to be aware... Of course, the only way to help is NSAIDs, so no use...
