I have no words of wisdom for dealing with that but I can tell you I have been on the receiving end of fat shaming and it sucked.... That has not gone forgotten to this day.  I can only say my tolerance for ignorance is at an all time low...  Imo, people that behave like that are oxygen thieves.  Harsh maybe, but some people never get it......

I just ignore it most of the time....I comment when I think i should....and sometimes when I shouldn't! lol

My cousin posted a picture of FB the other day of 3 couples, 2 of them were skinny girls being held up by their boyfriends...the girl in the middle with her boyfriend was overweight and she was just standing next to him....the caption said "Know your limitations"....meaning her boyfriend knows his GF is way to fat to pick up!!! GGGRRR

I just commented "you know that girl is crying on the inside, even though she is smiling on the outside"

This is somewhat relevant -

The OAC (Obesity Action Coalition) has called on Amazon, Apple, Google and Microsoft to remove fat-shaming apps. such as "Fatify," "Fatbooth" and "Fat You" from app stores.  http://bit.ly/1qyEgbn

There is also a petition to remove "Thinner Beauty" from Facebook and Twitter. LINK
