168 LBS....Holy honey!! whoa Sounds like a lot to me, but what the hell do I know! lol
We went to a water park with the kids on Saturday...It was SO NICE being able to run around and climb the stairs a million times to go down the slides without getting winded!!! WINNING AT LIFE!! Sunday "we" worked on my husband's car, then went for a boat ride/swim out at camp with my parents. I got a horrible sunburn on my back either Saturday or Sunday.....ugh We sunblock the kids like crazy....myself...not so much.

Good Morning! How was everyone's weekend? We managed to extract 168 lbs of honey from the boards that were capped. That's not as much as we were hoping for...the weather really did a number on the bees and their foraging. We're hoping that the hives that were really active are able to draw more comb so we can do another extraction in the fall. Even so, the honey we did get looks really good. I can't tell you how it tastes because honey's gross. LMAO But my husband and son love it. Speaking of my son, I dropped him off at camp yesterday; his first ever sleepaway. *sniff* In fact, he's never not had at least one of us with him overnight; he's never spent the night at a grandparents or anything. I thought he would be a little apprehensive, but he could not have wanted me there less. LOL He didn't want me to carry anything or even go into the cabin to set him up. He was like, "Mom, you can leave now." LOL I hope he's having a blast.

I have never had pork rinds before, but I got really curious from your posts. So I bought a bag of the microwave pork rinds to try! I bought it on Amazon. I haven't gotten up the nerve to try yet. My husband was giving me crap about it....but whatever!
I love them. I get really mad when my husband eats them by the handful right out of the bag. LOL
Did you get your microwave ones yet? waiting to hear the verdict, yay or nay?

Good morning all! OMG! 160 lbs of honey... that is my heaven. I LOVE HONEY! Or I did pre surgery ;) I Love cooking with honey. Baklava is amazing. I love honey in tea and coffee. Ugh.. now I want honey ;)
This weekend was amazing. My kids had their very first triathlon on Saturday. They were seeded 30 seconds apart since they are in the same age group. My son went first, my daughter caught him on the swim. Then on the bike my son pulled ahead but ended up dropping a chain so his sister caught up with him. From then on they decided to finish together. They ran/walked the mile together and crossed the finish line at the same time :) I was an extremely proud mama!
Sunday I did the Irongirl Traithlon. I had convinced a co-worker to do it with me and she did awesome. I was very happy with my time and so thankful I can do this. This particular triathlon was my first 2 years ago. I did that race in 2 hrs 18 mins. Yesterday, I did it in 1 hr 36 min. Talk about a huge difference. Just for giggles, here is me two years agao and then yesterday. What a difference a couple of years make.
