How much coffee does anyone drink?

I am 9 months out and have lost 101 lbs and I am drinking more coffee through the day. Can you count this for your water and can anybody tell me if this is not good for our pouch.

I never was a coffee drinker before surgery! NEVER! I hated the smell, taste and look of it. I couldnt add enough creamer or sugar to make it appetizing. Since surgery I have taken up to having 2 cups in the morning with a squirt of SF flavoring. My surgeon recommended if I drink coffee in moderation to make sure I increase my fluids to counterbalance the diuretic effect of coffee.  I just increased my water intake thru out the day. I do know if it is too strong my pouch will revolt on me and let me know about it.

I have a cup or two in the morning, and sometimes an afternoon cup,  and I absolutely count it toward my fluid intake. People say it's dehydrating, but it would take way more coffee than any of us could drink to be truly dehydrated by it. There's sciencey stuff to prove that, but I'm too lazy to go look and post links.

The only reason I can think of why may not be good for our pouches is the possibilities of ulcers.

I was cleared at 6 months for coffee. I have a cup in the morning and sometimes one in the afternoon.

I drink 4 big cups a day, which is probably equivalent to 8- 8 ounce cups. No problems here at 7 years out.

You really don't want to get between me and my morning fix.  I was served coffee in the hospital once I was cleared to drink fluids.

I drink 2 huge cups every morning to the relief of my family and sometimes one in the afternoon.

My Dr cleared me for coffee when I was 2 months out.  He said one cup a day was fine but to not over due it as he said it will increase your for cravings.  I'm not sure if thats true but I love my morning coffee.  Enjoy!

I'm a big coffee drinker.  At 7 years out, at my annual physical last month, my PCP said that my labs showed that I was "well hydrated".  'Nuff said!

Disney got me addicted to coffee!  Seriously.  At their resorts, they have this cup they call a Rapid Fill, where you pay $18 and you get unlimited refills throughout your stay.  They told me they had Minute Maid light, so I bought one.  but when I went over to fill it, it was Pomegranate Light, and tasted horrible.  I didn't want to waste my money by just getting water in it, so I started drinking coffee.  I wasn't a coffee drinker before surgery, but I found that I really liked it.

Now, I'm 10 months out, and I have at least 6 cups a day.  I'm drinking at least 80-90 oz of water also, so I'm not too worried about it.

I am up to two cups a day. It used to upset my stomach and make me extra hungry before surgery, but I haven't noticed that at all since. I've been paying attention to whether or not it makes me more hungry, but nothing so far. As long as it doesn't, I'm not going to worry about it.
