Ready to go!
I'm still in the pre-surgery and following the medically supervised diet that my surgeon has me on. I'm supposed to have surgery sometime in October. I would think that you will be going on the liquid diet in a couple of weeks. I know that the more weight you can lose before surgery the easier it is for the surgeon cause it reduces the size of your liver. I know a lot people on here try to find protein shakes that they like ahead of time for the liquid diet. As far as post-op everyone says to have a few different ones available cause what you like before surgery you might not like after surgery. Also start stocking up on the vitamins that you will need after surgery this way it's less that needs to be done once you come home.

My facility does not do a pre diet. I eat a regular meal two days before and the day before I am only on liquid prior to surgery. I go to my day with the dietician on the 18th for the rest of my instructions, although they have given most of them to me already. My BMI is 37 so I am excited to see my goal weight. One of my major reasons for doing this is to get off of insulin twice a day.
