PatchMD lab update

Thank you for the info, however, I do not tolerate ferrous sulfate. (which is why I use the carbonyl iron) I may try the patch
My B12 dropped on the multivitamin patch, too. It is still within the reference range, but not up where I want it, so O will add in a weekly sublingual dose.
I knew the Vit D in the patch wouldn't be enough since I was taking 100,000 units a week, so I still took one 50,000 unit Vit D pill every week as well as one iron pill daily (since what I was taking before was higher than what is in the patch) and one dose of calcium.
Still, taking two doses of vitamins a day is a HUGE improvement over 5 times a day! As you said, taking handfuls of pills isn't too bad the first few years, but at 8 years out, I have been struggling the last year or so... ALL of the chewables make me want to retch and I hate swallowing the large non-chewable multivitamins. I sure hope my labs still look good in another 6 months!

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
My D did not drop, but I continued to take one 50,000 unit pill per week to keep the dose with the patch closer to the 100,000 units I was taking before. Knew the amount of D on the patch wouldn't be enough.
My iron looks good, but, again, I co to used to take one iron pill (instead of two) with the patch.

Hi Doingrightin2015,
I took tons of pills for years and as time went by I made the mistake of not taking them on a regular basis. I honestly would gag at the thought of taking all those pills, I know better and don't make my mistake. A couple of years ago my B12 dropped and my D. We did a series of shots and my doctor prescribed mega D pills, taking 1 a week.
I then started using the patches. The thought of not having to take all those pills was worth a try for me. I use 1 MultiVitamin Plus patch, 1 Vitamin D3/Calcium patch and B12 Energy Plus patch.
3 months ago my iron levels dropped (no reflection on the patches just not getting enough iron) and I contacted my mentor Charlie as I remembered she has serious issues with iron. I just posted about my iron on the main forum. Here is the link: Having issues with low iron?
As I posted with just using the patches my labs were good with the exception my B12 and D down again. We are going to do another series of B12 shots, prescribed D and I am going to add a B12 pill and drink more milk. We will do labs again in 3 months.
The bottom line is once you get in the red, it's a battle to get back in the green. As soon as you see a drop even if you are still in the green jump on it. As another member said, if I have to take a couple of pills with the patches I still feel I died and went to heaven
I hope this helps..... Let me know if you need anything else
